The document summarizes research from two studies about online communication and identity formation among teenagers and college students. The first study examines the blogs and websites of three teenagers from different ethnic backgrounds. It finds that these online platforms allow them to express multiple identities beyond national boundaries. The second study uses surveys and interviews to understand how college students use Facebook and how it relates to their racial, ethnic, and gender identities. Key themes that emerged include self-presentation, performance of identity, social connections, and differences in use and perspectives between genders and races.
Facebook's purpose is to connect people and make the world more open. It allows users to share photos, videos, and experiences with friends and family both near and far. However, Facebook also faces legal and ethical issues. Investigations have found that sexual predators have used Facebook to solicit minors by posing as children. State attorneys general are investigating Facebook for how it responds to complaints about inappropriate content and solicitation of underage users. While Facebook aims to provide a safe platform, concerns have been raised that it does not adequately police its site and address issues reported by parents.
Teens today use social media to develop and maintain romantic relationships. They communicate privately online to avoid parental monitoring. Some key findings:
- Teens meet potential partners online and use technology like instant messaging and social media to flirt and get to know each other.
- In relationships, teens expect constant contact and public displays of affection online. Monitoring partners' accounts is common.
- Breakups online can lead to bullying, but social media also enables exes to stay indirectly connected.
- While technology facilitates intimacy, it also increases teens' vulnerability to emotional harm from unwanted contact or spreading of private information.

Teens are increasingly sharing personal information on social media compared to past years. While most teen Facebook users keep their profiles private, sharing is typically done with large friend networks. However, Twitter users tend to have public accounts. Teens employ various techniques beyond privacy settings to manage their reputation and networks online, though most teens express little concern about third parties accessing their data. Focus group discussions indicate teens' enthusiasm for Facebook is waning due to adult presence, drama, and reputation management pressures, but they continue using it due to social importance.

The document discusses adolescent behavior online, including social media use and privacy settings. It finds that while most teenagers are aware of privacy settings on Facebook, they often do not change the default public settings and disclose a significant amount of personal information. Cyberbullying is seen as less serious than in-person bullying by many adolescents. As they get older, some teenagers become more protective of their information as they prepare for jobs and college, but others do not feel the need to change settings since they believe they have nothing to hide online. Blocking is used frequently by teenagers to avoid bullying and unwanted contact on sites like Instagram and Twitter where less privacy options exist compared to Facebook.
This research project aimed to examine the psychosociocultural factors that contribute to well-being among Latina LGBT undergraduate students. Specifically, it explored the psychological, social, and cultural experiences of 7 bisexual Latina students at a university. Preliminary findings identified three main themes: peer support was important for feeling normal; students developed self-confidence through navigating sexuality with family and educating them; and finding different roles for diverse friend groups. The purpose was to understand how these students balance traditional Latina values with their personal lifestyles using a holistic framework.
Facebook and Interpersonal RelationshipsAdrian Aleman
This document discusses the effects of Facebook on interpersonal relationships. It suggests that while Facebook allows people to stay connected with friends and family online, overuse of social media can replace real face-to-face interactions and cultivate unhealthy relationships. Excessive social media use has been linked to issues like boredom, addiction, depression, and decreased attention spans. The document examines who commonly uses Facebook, how it can become addictive and enhance depression, and privacy and cyberbullying concerns related to oversharing on the platform.

It also evaluates body surveillance, appearance self-worth, and enjoyment of sexualization. The results found that women had more Facebook involvement and higher levels of body surveillance and appearance self-worth. Women also experienced more body shame, while men scored slightly higher in sexual assertiveness. The study shows Facebook can impact college students' perceptions of their bodies and sexuality.
Pew Research Study on Online Dating 021116Joe Adams
The document summarizes the key findings of a Pew Research Center survey on online dating:
- 15% of American adults have used online dating sites and/or mobile dating apps, up from 11% in 2013. Usage has increased most among young adults (ages 18-24) and older adults (ages 55-64).
- Young adults' usage of mobile dating apps has increased over fourfold since 2013, with 22% of 18-24 year olds now using them.
- 41% of Americans know someone who uses online dating and 29% know someone who has entered a long-term relationship from online dating.
This study examined dating experiences of online dating users and non-users among college students. The author conducted in-depth interviews with 5 online dating users and 5 non-users at Reinhardt University. The interviews were recorded and themes from the responses were analyzed. Using interviews allowed the author to directly compare experiences of those who do and do not use online dating, but interviews were time-consuming for both the interviewer and interviewees. Overall, the study aimed to expand understanding of individual experiences with online dating.
The document discusses several issues related to privacy and oversharing on social networks like Facebook:
1) Facebook has faced many privacy and data sharing scandals over the years as it has grown rapidly in users and in the amount of personal information collected.
2) The document outlines Facebook's history from its founding in 2004 to reaching over 500 million users currently.
3) Reasons why people may overshare personal information on social media are discussed, such as to more easily connect with others, for shopping convenience, or due to attitudes among younger generations.
Older adolescents belong to peer groups that share common values and behaviors, such as how to dress and act. Romantic relationships provide teens with self-esteem but also more conflict and mood swings as males often date for sexual reasons while females seek closeness. Teens heavily use technology like social media to connect with peers, but this can enable cyberbullying where bullies remain anonymous and sexting where explicit images are shared, though teens may see it as harmless. Adults should discuss the dangers of assuming privacy or removal online and pressures of peers.
Social networking on the internet has exploded in popularity as a mass communication platform. Users can create profiles to connect with others sharing similar interests. Boys and girls tend to use social networks differently, with boys using it to meet potential girlfriends and girls using it to maintain existing friendships. Adults account for more usage and use it to find old friends and connections. However, posting personal details online makes users vulnerable to identity theft, as criminals can find enough information in most profiles within minutes to target the user. Efforts are being made to educate users on protecting their privacy and identity online.
Relationships between facebook intensity self esteem and personalityMarcelo Pesallaccia
1) The study examined relationships between Facebook use, friendship-contingent self-esteem, personality, and narcissism in 200 U.S. college students.
2) It found that students who strongly tied their self-esteem to the quality of their friendships were more active Facebook users, supporting the hypothesis.
3) No significant relationships were found between Facebook use and personality or narcissism. The results suggest Facebook allows students to maintain social connections that are important for friendship-contingent self-esteem.
This document summarizes previous research on the relationship between social support, self-esteem, and the coming out process for gay males. It discusses how social support from parents, especially mothers and fathers, can impact self-esteem outcomes. For gay males coming out to their fathers, a lack of acceptance and social support from their father can lead to low self-esteem and issues like substance abuse, while support from fathers is linked to high self-esteem. Coming out to mothers also significantly impacts self-esteem, as a lack of maternal love and support can damage sense of self and seeking help. The document proposes extending this research by studying differences in coming out experiences based on parents' allyship levels toward the queer
School bullying statistics in the united states, Javier Armendariz CortezJavier Armendariz
The document discusses school bullying statistics in the United States. It reports that about 1 in 4 kids are bullied regularly, 30% of students are involved in bullying as either victims or bullies, and verbal bullying is the most common type affecting 77% of students. Cyberbullying is also increasing, with 80% of high school students experiencing it online. The statistics illustrate bullying is a major problem. However, schools are now taking more active measures like antibullying programs and policies to help address the issue.
Reputation is how a person or thing is viewed by others based on their actions over time, while image is how one presents themselves and is something that must be intentionally built. A survey of West Seneca West students found rates of risky behaviors like drinking, smoking, and sexual activity higher than national averages. While most students said image was not everything to them, many engage in behaviors that could harm their reputations. Maintaining a good reputation was seen as important because it contributes directly to success.
The document provides an overview of personas, site maps, task flows, and next steps for an information architecture project for a school district website. It describes 5 personas representing different user groups: a helicopter parent, an athletic parent, a student new to the district with special needs, and gives summaries of their characteristics and sample tasks they might perform on the site. It also includes wireframes, site maps, and outlines next steps to further develop the information architecture.
In this paper, I researched how aspects of personality can influence behavior; the specific example here is infidelity. I synthesized the data of multiple experiences to create a personality profile of a person who is more likely to cheat on a romantic partner than the "average" person.
This document discusses how social media sites like Facebook and Myspace shape perceptions of gender identity. It defines key terms like sex, gender, and gender identity. It then analyzes how users portray themselves through pictures, interests, and wall posts, often fulfilling stereotypes. Interviews with college students found they saw Facebook as a way to present an idealized image to others. There was debate around whether restricting gender options discriminated against transgender users.
Facebook has become widely used but can have negative effects including wasting time, psychological problems, and privacy issues. Spending hours on Facebook each day can take away from relationships and productivity. Posting an idealized image of oneself can increase anxiety about how others perceive you and how important you seem to others. While Facebook allows people to connect, overuse may diminish real-world communication skills and increase loneliness, narcissism, and pressure to seek approval.
The document outlines the steps to create a Facebook account and lists advantages and disadvantages of Facebook. Some key advantages are that Facebook is free to use, allows users to connect with people worldwide, and helps keep old friendships alive. However, disadvantages include that Facebook can be addictive and cause users to waste time. Additionally, fake profiles make it possible to harass and bully others, and some groups use Facebook to spread extremist or discriminatory views.
The Effects of Twitter and Instagram on Teenagers
1. Today, sharing of private information has become the norm. Every person, in particular the young people update their statuses on a daily basis as they go about their activities. People use social media sites such as Instagram to share their photos of themselves of their day-to-day lives. In addition, Facebook is a platform that is used to share with people what was on their minds at that particular moment. On Twitter, young people share their tweets on various subjects as the favorite ones get more retweets. Through the various social media sites, individuals become famous for all the wrong reasons. These are the ones whose Facebook status updates are liked most, their tweets retweeted the most times as well as their photos on Instagram liked most.
2. Social media sites have a great influence on teenagers today and the impact continued to increase over the years. For instance, teenagers on Twitter had grown significantly from 16% to 24%. The typical teenager on Facebook has at least three hundred friends while a typical teenager on Twitter has more than seventy-eight followers. Research indicates that at present teenagers are not as enthusiastic about Facebook as they were in the past. There are more adults on Facebook; therefore, making it more boring and there is more drama and chances of clashing. An estimated 60% of teenagers on Facebook keep their profiles rather private and they report high levels of confidence in their quest to manage their settings.
3. Many parents often ask themselves what their children are always doing on the internet and in particular social media all day long. It is important for these parents to understand that social media is now a way of life. One of the greatest effects of social media is that it is addictive. It is said that people have to log in to Facebook at least five times a day. It has become such a way life and a way to communicate with the rest of the world that a person cannot stay away from social media. According to studies, at least 63% of American have to log on to Twitter on a daily basis. Further, 40% of Americans log on more than once a day, a fact that almost all teenagers now have a mobile phone with them. This makes it easier for them to access social media sites as often as possible. This is not positive since it means that they will get addicted.
4. Getting addicted to social media is like any other addiction because people are not in a position to interact with other people since they do not have time to waste. Social media starts in the most harmless way possible. It starts to act as a source of distraction as well as boredom relief. Comments and likes are a positive reinforcement for people who had posted statuses or photos making it difficult for the individuals to stop that which they are doing. This addiction is common such that researchers create a scale, which can measure this particular addiction called ‘The Berge Faceboo ...

This document summarizes research on attitudes towards Facebook use among adults over 35. It finds that while older adults see benefits to staying connected via Facebook, they use it less frequently than younger groups and have some concerns about privacy and effects on social interaction. The researcher conducted surveys and interviews that found older adults are generally satisfied with Facebook for communication but view it more passively. They recognize negatives like oversharing and impacts on youth but feel Facebook allows easy connection to others. More research is still needed on older adults' social media use and attitudes.
Social networking sites allow users to create personal profiles and connect with others. Some key early social networks mentioned include Yahoo (1995), Google (1998), LinkedIn (2002), Facebook (2004), and Twitter (2006). Facebook currently has over 600 million users and generates $800 million in revenue annually. While social networks allow connection and sharing, some potential downsides include addiction, distraction from real-world relationships, exposure to bullying, fake profiles, and spread of viruses. Experts recommend moderation and parental guidance in social media use.
This document summarizes research on the effects of social media use on romantic relationships. It discusses how social media has changed how relationships form and develop through Facebook. Research shows that revealing too much personal information on social media can lead to relationship dissatisfaction due to jealousy and lack of trust. Spending excessive time on social media can also be intrusive and negatively impact relationships. While social media allows people to stay connected, oversharing details about a relationship online can damage it.
This document defines Facebook and compares its advantages and disadvantages. It begins by defining Facebook as an online social networking service founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and others. It then lists some key advantages of Facebook such as it being free, allowing users to connect worldwide, and share their daily lives. However, it also notes Facebook addiction can waste time and fake profiles can be used to harass others. The document concludes by stating Facebook can negatively impact student results if overused and that employees can waste work time on the site.

Further, 40% of Americans log on more than once a day, a fact that almost all teenagers now have a mobile phone with them. This makes it easier for them to access social media sites as often as possible. This is not positive since it means that they will get addicted.
This addiction is common such that researchers create a scale, which can measure this particula ...
Facebook for Educators and Community Leaders (Property of Facebook)misspwalsh
This document provides guidance for educators and community leaders on helping teens safely navigate social media, particularly Facebook. It covers basic principles for understanding teen social media use, Facebook's community standards and reporting abuse. It also provides tips on issues like bullying prevention, privacy controls, using Facebook groups, developing social media guidelines, and promoting digital citizenship. The overall aim is to help adults act as supportive partners to teens as they engage in the digital world.
This document summarizes findings from focus groups with high school seniors about their use of social networking technologies. Key findings include:
1. Teens keep their online identities separate for school/professional versus personal use, using email for the former and technologies like Facebook for the latter.
2. They consider texting to be the primary means of close communication between real friends while Facebook is for more casual acquaintances.
3. Teens multitask heavily across technologies for both schoolwork and leisure, though acknowledge it reduces quality.
4. Social media plays a large role in teens' social lives and preparations for college, though overuse can reduce personal interaction and privacy is a concern.
5.
Social media is an important part of teen social lives and allows them to strengthen existing connections. It makes it easy for teens to stay in touch with friends even when separated geographically. However, it can also intensify drama as gossip spreads more quickly online. While social media allows teens to meet new people with shared interests, presenting themselves differently online than in person can create awkward social situations. Managing friend lists and privacy settings is also tricky as unfriending can unintentionally hurt feelings.
Social media is an important part of teen social lives according to the document. It allows teens to strengthen existing connections by staying in touch with friends even when apart. However, it can also create drama as gossip spreads more widely and quickly online. While social media enables teens to meet new people with shared interests, it also risks hurting feelings if teens are excluded from online social circles or "unfriended". The lines between online and offline interactions are also blurred as many conversations start in one environment and move across various media.
Facebook brings more harm than good according to the speaker. First, spending too much time on Facebook can lead to addiction and cause people to neglect important tasks. Second, rumors and abuse are easily spread on Facebook, humiliating and hurting others. Third, oversharing personal information on Facebook can invade privacy and expose users to threats from hackers. While Facebook has benefits, the speaker argues it does more harm than good.
Facebook was created in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and others at Harvard. It allows users to post status updates, share photos, and connect with friends and family. Studies have shown both benefits and drawbacks of Facebook usage. While it allows easy connection, it can also hurt users' self-esteem, damage communication skills, and increase feelings of depression through social comparison. Research at the University of Missouri found that excessive surveillance of peers' lives on Facebook can lead to envy and depression.

and hinder interpersonal relationships.
Social media enhances interpersonal relationships by promoting increased interaction with family and friends. It has been reported that social media allows people to feel more connected to information about their friends’ lives. Social networking provides an outlet for communication for those who are timid. Social media provides the confidence that people need to form strong interpersonal relationships. People can express themselves in ways that are appropriate with communicating with others.
Everyday
people are using social media to promote their businesses or build relationships with others. Teachers are able to use social media to collaborate with students building a stronger relationship outside the classroom. Social media serves as a platform of empowering people to support one another and connect with those who share the same interest.
Social media hinders interpersonal relationships by allowing people to post inappropriate statuses or photos that can be very discouraging. Cyber-bullying is a great example of how social media hinders interpersonal relationships. The television show Catfish is also another example of social media hindering interpersonal relationships. Social media allows people to create fake names and lives and trick people into thinking they are someone they are not. Through social media, people are not able to display verbal communication and they lack listening skills. While using social media it can be easy to interpret a situation wrongly. Communicating online hinders the development of conflict management skills and awareness of interpersonal cues.

This document discusses how Facebook may be negatively impacting interpersonal communication skills. It provides statistics showing the massive growth of Facebook usage globally and in the US. Experts and studies quoted suggest that while social media allows for more connections, in-person interactions are decreasing as people prefer communicating online over face-to-face. Over-reliance on Facebook may be reducing empathy and making people less socially engaged in the real world. The document examines how Facebook posting behaviors are often just seeking attention rather than meaningful support.
Facebook and social media have changed how people interact with friends and family and reflect on themselves. While social media allows people to stay connected with friends and family, it also presents dangers like oversharing private information and increased cyberbullying. Facebook has impacted how relationships form, develop and end, with factors like relationship status updates, photos shared, and continued online interactions after a break up. More study is still needed to understand both the benefits and risks of social media on people's behaviors and well-being.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Gender analysis on Facebook
1. Introduction;
Facebook;
Facebook is an American for-profit corporation and an online social media and social
networking service based in Menlo Park, California. It is the best way of communication
with people even out of the country, through this we can easily communicate to our
relative and family no matter whey are living in which part of the world. The Facebook
website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, along with
fellow Harvard College students and roommates, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew
McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. The founders had initially limited the
website's membership to Harvard students; however, later they expanded it to higher
education institutions in the Boston area, the Ivy League schools, and Stanford
University. Facebook gradually added support for students at various other universities,
and eventually to high school students as well. Since 2006, anyone who claims to be at
least 13 years old has been allowed to become a registered user of Facebook, though
variations exist in the minimum age requirement, depending on applicable local laws.
Gender Analysis
Gender analysis is a type of socio-economic analysis that uncovers
how genderrelations affect a development problem. The aim may just be to show
that genderrelations will probably affect the solution, or to show how they will affect the
solution and what could be done.
In many developing societies, although not in all, women have traditionally been
disadvantaged compared to men. Until recently, studies of these societies for the
purpose of planning development covered women narrowly in terms of population,
health and family planning. Relatively little was known about other concerns such as
domestic violence or involvement in economic activities. Gender analysis provides more
information, bringing benefits to women and to society as a whole. The Women in
Development approach emerged in the 1970s, calling for treatment of "women's issues"
in development projects. Later, the Gender and Development approach proposed more
emphasis on gender relations rather than seeing women's issues in isolation. Gender
analysis also mean to highlight those activities which are performed by male and female
differently rather it is in society in government in media in politics in culture and many
other field.
Purposes of our research
Our purposes of research is to highlight those activities
on Facebook which shows gender inequality on Facebook means how male and female
use Facebook differently like difference in display picture, status, post, friends list,
profile name, number of friends, privacy policy, contact, address and many other
differences can be seen on Facebook all these activities are different among male and
2. female hence we have named our this research “Gender analysis on Facebook” in
gender analysis we also try to highlight that what is the level of gender discrimination on
Facebook. Although there is gender discrimination on whole social media but our focus
is Facebook. Specially in Muslim societies females are restricted to use social media
openly females are not being incouraged to use social media if they use they are bound
not to use it openly like male, social media is not considered good or healthy activity for
females in conservative societies, society see those female with different perspectives
who use social media then those who do not use social media simply we can say that
females are discouraged to use Facebook in conservative societies there are many
religious and cultural barriers which does not allow and appreciate female to use social
media. There are also many females in Muslim countries who use social media as
openly as males just because they belong to liberal societies, and they mostly belong to
big cities and conservative are mostly belong to rural areas, in our country majority of
population belong to rural areas it means majority of our peoples are conservatives they
are strictly bound by societal and religious rules and barriers. Secularization promote
gender equality, we can observe that secular people allow their daughters to use social
media and they provide equal opportunities for both their daughters and sons means
they promote gender equality because they have less religious and cultural barriers they
are less likely to follow cultural and religious norms and values.
How female use Facebook;
Note;
The purposes of our research is not to criticize any group, sect or any region or we are
not here to highlight what is right or what is wrong, our purposes is just to highlight the
gender related issues on Facebook that how society have created barriers for females
or male which restricted them how to use social media and its differently apply on male
and female.
In this research we have found that how female use Facebook differently from male.
First we have observed that female are less likely to use Facebook only in muslim
conservative societies and those who are using they avoid sharing their personal
contact, real address, real display picture, real profile name and pictures, and other
information through which she can be identified, only their friend or relatives knows her
on Facebook.
We have found that most of our friends are males it shows that Facebook is used
dominantly by males, and very less numbers of our friends are females and they mostly
do not share their real information like address, contact, profession or pictures and they
3. have very strong privacy that not everyone can visit their timelines or sent friend
request, females are not more likely to share their ideas openly.
We have found many female friends who even do not share their real name on profile,
and there are also many friends who have not added their family members just because
they do not want their family will know that they are using Facebook, some of them use
two account another account for family members another for friends and collages.
I have about 150 female friends on Facebook through this research I have found that
about 20% of those friends are fake means they are boys having female id, when I was
new on Facebook I had randomly sent request to most of the girls, those who are real
having real account they do not use their real picture in profile if they accidently upload
real picture then it will be half picture means you cannot see her face clearly picture
may be from back side or from front side by spreading hear over her face or put the
emoji on their face, rarely if some female upload their real picture they will not be
appreciated by society it will create a problem in her family and sometime it leads to
honour killing, society labelled such girl bad character and it becomes embarrassment
for her family if you will visit females profile very rarely you can see their friend list
otherwise most of the girl keep their friend list hide from their friend. If a female upload
status she is very strictly bound to follow the norm and values of Facebook which are
created differently for male and female. Male can upload status what they want even if it
is against the norms and values of Facebook public do not mind the male activities
which are against the norms of Facebook, simply the norm and values are more applied
on female and less likely applied on male. If we talk about the personal contacts or
addresses on most of the female have wrong information about their contacts and
addresses we can say that female use Facebook as a secret agent that actually no one
knows who is she, and some of the girl provide their correct information which are only
can be seen by her friends if they know each other in real life. All these groups of
Facebook users which I have talked about belongs to conservative family background
who strictly follow the religious and cultural norms and values that is why they do not
use social media as openly as male do. There is another group of girls on Facebook
who use more openly even then boys they are called modern liberal people which
means they do not follow or less likely follow religious and cultural norms and values
and they promote gender equality in the name of gender equality they do all they
activities on social media which even male do not. Their basic information like
addresses or contacts are as public as male account, these are the people who belong
to modern liberal family background.
How male use Facebook;
As we have talked about how female use Facebook, now I am going to explain how
male use Facebook which is very different from female, according to our research we
have found that most of our friends are male it means male are dominantly using
Facebook, about all the friends having real information about him they use real picture
on profile picture, they all have plenty of friends male, female, local friends, foreigner
4. friends, Muslim friends, non-Muslim friends, black friends, white friends, all the variety of
people in this world are the friends of about every male on Facebook, some of male
friends have 1-3 accounts they use separate account for family, friends and other group
of friends some of boy having 1 female account which they use to make fool of other
boys or to make relation with other girls, all these happens just because the society do
not criticize male activities, religious and cultural norms and values are mostly applies
on female in our society that is the another reason that why male and female use social
media differently.
Controversiality of Facebook for females;
How Facebook is controversial in our society for female that some people strictly do not
allow female to use Facebook.
There are many example in our society that a female have been killed after rape and
they both start their friendship on Facebook, some of the female fall in love on
Facebook with anyone they become free and share every information that he want and
they become very close and the purposes of any male to become friend with female is
just to get benefits, not everyone thought like this but the most have the same purposes
mean just to get benefits from female, so this kind of activities some time leads to gang
rape robbery and to kill someone, not only male do all these negative activities there are
also some example where female use male for their purposes like robbery but the most
of the accident happen on Facebook against female.
This was an important reason of why females are not using Facebook openly and why
society have created some barriers specifically for females.
Conclusion;
Our purposes on this research was gender analysis and we have concluded that how
male and female use Facebook differently how female are discriminated on Facebook
and also we have discussed those reasons that leads gender inequality on Facebook,
we belong to rural conservative family that is why we have focused on difference of use
of Facebook by giving example of rural and urban areas people, means how
conservative and religious people think of Facebook and how liberals and modern
people think of Facebook and what are the impact of these all type of people on youth
and their usage of Facebook. We have fond that male and female have very different
approach to Facebook which is directly related to their family background, religious
background, cultural background and different societal barriers which shows the
limitation of use of Facebook for the youth.
