This document discusses the author's experience studying local culture and arts in Hong Kong. It describes courses taken on Cantonese opera, Hong Kong art and music, and Korean pop culture. The author notes their initial interest in Korean pop but later focus on promoting local Hong Kong culture. Classes on Cantonese opera introduced traditional arts but had mostly elderly audiences, while a course on Hong Kong art featured the blending of Chinese and Western influences and street art reflecting social issues. The author hopes to enhance their knowledge of local culture and help promote Hong Kong arts through community events in the future.
