This document provides instructions for two essays on Shakespeare's Richard III. The first essay asks how Richard's opening soliloquy prepares the audience for his actions in the play. The second asks how one would direct the scene where Richard manipulates Lady Anne to make his manipulation clear, and can be set in any time period with any budget. The essays should be 1000-1300 words, use the Tahoma font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing, include many integrated quotations, and be due on Monday, February 1st, 2010.
