An Inter-domain Routing Protocol for Multi-homed Wireless Mesh NetworksRaluca Musaloiu-E.
The document summarizes the SMesh architecture, an inter-domain routing protocol for multi-homed wireless mesh networks. SMesh allows clients to seamlessly handoff between multiple internet gateways while maintaining connections. It uses a private address space with NAT and routes each connection through the gateway it was established through. For TCP, it routes the initial SYN packet, while for UDP it routes packets to both the destination and gateways until an owner is determined. Experimental results show low latency and packet loss for both client-internet and peer-to-peer communication under the SMesh architecture.
Practical Wireless Mesh Networks and Their ApplicationsRaluca Musaloiu-E.
1. A user makes a SIP call to join a PTT group. The call is routed through the mesh network to the PTT controller.
2. The PTT controller assigns the user a floor control state and notifies the relevant PTT nodes.
3. When a user wants to speak, they press a button which sends a signal to the PTT controller via SIP.
4. If granted the floor, the PTT controller allows the user's voice stream to be broadcast to other group members.
This document discusses several cases related to prescription among co-owners of land. It summarizes the key principles from the leading case of Corea v. Iseris Appuhamy, including that long continued exclusive possession by one co-owner is not necessarily adverse to the other co-owners. It then discusses the facts of the current case, in which the defendants claim the land was amicably divided over 60 years ago and has since been separately possessed, while the plaintiffs claim it remains jointly owned and seek partition. The trial judge found for the defendants, dismissing the action on the basis that the land was no longer commonly owned due to long term separate possession. The appeal considers whether this finding was correct.

Design of 64 bit SRAM using Lector Technique for Low Leakage Power with Read ...IOSRJVSP
: In complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) the power dissipation predominantly comprises of dynamic as well as static power. Prior to introduction of “Deep submicron technologies” it is observed that in case of technology process with feature size larger than 1micro meter, the consumption of dynamic power out of the overall power consumption of any circuit is more than 90%,while that of static power is negligible. But in the present deep submicron technologies in order to, reduce the dynamic power consumption in VLSI circuits, the power supply is being scaled down, keeping in view the principle that the dynamic power dissipated is directly proportional to the square of the supply voltage (Vdd). The threshold voltage also needs to be reduced since the supply voltage is scaled down. Overcoming the inherent limitations in the existing method for leakage power reduction, The Lector (Leakage controlled transistor) technique which works efficiently both in active and idle states of the circuit and results in better leakage power reduction is now proposed. The proposed system presents the analysis of power on “64-bit SRAM array using leakage controlled transistor technique

Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
What to expect
For the upcoming meetup we are organizing, we have an exciting lineup of activities planned:
-Insightful presentations covering two practical applications of the Power Grid Model.
-An update on the latest advancements in Power Grid -Model technology during the first and second quarters of 2024.
-An interactive brainstorming session to discuss and propose new feature requests.
-An opportunity to connect with fellow Power Grid Model enthusiasts and users.
zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

[OReilly Superstream] Occupy the Space: A grassroots guide to engineering (an...Jason Yip
The typical problem in product engineering is not bad strategy, so much as “no strategy”. This leads to confusion, lack of motivation, and incoherent action. The next time you look for a strategy and find an empty space, instead of waiting for it to be filled, I will show you how to fill it in yourself. If you’re wrong, it forces a correction. If you’re right, it helps create focus. I’ll share how I’ve approached this in the past, both what works and lessons for what didn’t work so well.
