The Junction started when a group of teenagers were having parties in an old bike shop but were told to stop by police, so they asked the council to build them a venue, and the council agreed to build The Junction as a charity that funds itself through revenues.

What were his qualifications and experience for the job?
He was in a band when he was young, for about 20 years
he wanted to be a Rockstar, So he knew about the musical
side of things. He only had a couple of A-levels when he left
school. He had a wide knowledge of the creative and
musical arts and media. He was in manufacturing so he
knows about buildings and how things work. e.g electrics
and plumbing. he used to play music, program music and
was a trusty at an art centre.

History of The Junction
The Junction is a very unique venue: it started when a group
of teenagers were having constant parties in an old
bikeshop and the police bust in and said they couldnʼt have

2. them anymore, so they went to the council and said ʻwell
build us a place were we can have parties thenʼ. So the
council discussed it and agreed to build a place for loads of
people to come and rave. It was and still is a charity raised
building and all the money goes they get in goes to funding
the Junction.
