Southern Island Mallow is a rare, large woody shrub or small tree native to the Southern Channel Islands and southern California coast. It has gray bark and light green, hibiscus-like pink flowers that bloom throughout the year and attract hummingbirds. As a garden plant, it is easy to grow and tolerates seaside conditions, making it a good choice for a specimen plant, hedge, or windbreak. It can be propagated from seed or cuttings.
