Introduction

Gaming consoles were designed for the sole
purpose of playing electronic games and
nothing else.
 Have been around since 1970’s.
 Gaming consoles have proved themselves to
be the best in digital entertainment.
 Video game consoles are now extremely
versatile and games can be created for a
number of purposes.
PLAYSTATION 3
 The PlayStation 3 officially
abbreviated as PS3.is the third home
video game console produced by
Sony Computer Entertainment .
 PlayStation Home allows users to
enter a “Virtual world”.
 The PlayStation 3 uses the Sony
designed Cell microprocessor as its
CPU.
 The system has Bluetooth, Ethernet,
USB 2.0 and HDMI .
PS Move and PS Eye
The PS Move is a wand-like
controller, equipped with a glowing
soft rubber orb for visual tracking
and several internal motion sensors
for further motion sensing.

This orb is tracked by the
PlayStation Eye camera and
through software its position in 3D
space can be accurately calculated.
