Gaia Education conducts educational programs through three streams: face-to-face certified programs with over 60 partner institutions worldwide, online sustainability courses in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and project-based learning in the Global South to support post-2015 development goals. They work with individuals from various fields, including social workers, educators, entrepreneurs, and farmers, some involved in community and municipal decision making and others preserving traditional ways of life. Programs have been offered in a range of settings from tribal communities to universities and urban slums. Between 2006-2015 there were 179 programs attended by over 4,000 participants. Current projects focus on sustainable farming, agroforestry and capacity building in Senegal, India and Bangladesh.

4. Who we work with
Gaia Education works with individuals from a
multitude of fields of service: social and health workers,
urban permaculturists, educators
and head-teachers, ethical entrepreneurs, spatial
planners, architects and eco-building professionals,
economists and philosophers, environmentalists and
food growers. Some are at the center of municipal
decisions, some at the cutting edge of urban resilience.
Some embedded in community living, while others
holding the memory of traditional ways of life.
