Learning Activity 4.1<br />To develop an individual’s second language he/she must have something which is very important, can you say what is so important in developing a second language?<br />To develop a second language is very important choose and use the correct strategies learning, as way of learning vocabulary, techniques for develop listening, strategies for reading; because different factors will influence the teaching and learning of strategies as such as culture, age, gender, personal learning style and teachers´ attitudes; and it characterize good or bad learners.<br />Different cultural groups need different strategies training.<br />Describe the issue “input and activities”<br />Input or Input Data is the material that the learners can work, for example readings, videos.<br />Activities are the procedures that learners do with the input data (what learners do?)<br />Learning Activity 4.2<br />What dangers could we find if we do not apply tasks correctly?<br />Task difficult can be affected by the input provided as such the grammatical complexity, the speed of listening texts of the text, the vocabulary used, the length of the text, the explicitness of the information.<br />Task difficult can be affected by the changing the activity that the learner are required to carry out.<br />The effect of learner factors is the tasks that learners bring as motivation, prior experience, knowledge and culture.<br />Contributing factors of task difficulty:<br />The amount and type of information provided.<br />The amount of reasoning or cognitive operation needed<br />The precision needed<br />The learners´ knowledge of the world and familiarity with the purposes and constraints of the task<br />The degree of abstractness of the concepts dealt with in the task.<br />Explain the difficulty of task categorization by Brindley<br />Different kinds of interaction generated by different types of tasks because some tasks received more attention than other tasks, and the difficulty task influence on other tasks, and the learner or teacher have a lot of problems because they do not understand a task or more tasks and have a lot of difficult tasks.<br />Learning Activity 4.3<br />We have mentioned that curiosity is a very important element in any learning process; propose a task to develop curiosity in our students<br />If we talk about interesting topics learners will search information by their selves, and the learners develop their curiosity, so is necessary know the interest of the learners, and different factors can help us as such as culture, age, gender because a four years old kid do not have the same interest than a ten years old kid. <br />There’s a summary called Feuerstein’s cognitive map, explain in your own words the level of complexity<br />Level of complexity, the quantity and quality of information is necessary to carry out a mental act.<br />Level of complexity changed between learns, someone who only perform simple tasks or someone who do not have aspirations to be better every day, so these learners will not be able to perform more complex tasks.<br />Learning Activity 4.4<br />When Piaget and Feuerstein say that children have to move from concrete to abstract tasks, what do they mean?<br />If tasks are presented in a thinking abstract level, children think in abstract terms and they develop their higer order thinking skills, and abstract thinking can be teaching.<br />
