1. General presentation
The aim of this offer is essentially the construction of a biogas production plant with heat and
electricity production by cogeneration. The following presentation will firstly present the technology
then the preliminary information about the project.
The BIOGASTIGER® plant has a fermentation technology developed by the company FWE GmbH which
is illustrated by its efficient energy efficiency combined with an extremely low internal energy
consumption.
The BIOGASTIGER® System is a plug-flow fermenter with a paddle agitator, which enables a very
constant, gentle and uniform mixing of the substrates in harmony with biological processes. In this
way, substances with high content of dry matter, like organic waste, can be easily exploited in the
digester without introduction of additional liquid.
Associated to the plug-flow digester, a round post digester is installed in order to maximize the biogas
production and allow recirculation of liquid material from the round digester.
During the digestion phase, the fresh substrate is mixed in the plug-flow digester with pumped liquid
from the round digester or phase separator to increase the water content. The digestate from the plug-
flow digester is pumped and routed to the round digester. The central pump ensures the regular and
variable transfer of the digestate via the piping between the digesters.
The biogas produced is stored in the gas meter above the round digester, before its utilization.
Thus, the turnkey BIOGASTIGER® System provides several advantages, among which:
