The film graphically brings the horrors of World War II to life and how much it
can impact the people who were a part of it. For example, when Private Caparzo
died, played by Vin Diesel, I started to tear up, because he was one of my favorite
characters and I wanted him to survive until the very end. However, he died in a

The Perfect Guy was a story about a young woman that had recently gotten out of a
fairly healthy relationship. This relationship ended mostly due to the fact that they
had different ideas about where they wanted their futures to end up. A few weeks
into the break up Leah meets Carter at a coffee shop and then again at a bar when a
stranger is kind of harassing her. Carter steps in to help and a fling begins. The two
hit it off and what seems like an exciting and fun relationship quickly turns awry.
Leah becomes frightened after Carter is violent towards another man in a jealous
rage. When she cannot shake the feeling, she tries to end things and he only spirals

A tornado, by definition, is a violently rotating column of air that extends from the
ground to a thunderstorm above in the sky. Tornadoes are created through many
factors, one of which is instability when the air closer to the ground is warmer than
the air that is higher up. If the unstable air contains water vapor that is able to turn
into water, then raindrops or hail will form. Another factor that determines whether or
not a tornado will form is wind shear. When winds blow at different distances,
directions, and speeds, they form an invisible tube in the atmosphere that spins
parallel to the ground. Eventually, the updrafts upward current of air will turn the
tornado until it is vertical. This rotation creates a thunderstorm called a supercell,

Contradiction/Duality as the ultimate reality in A clockwork orange.
In his novel A clockwork orange, Anthony Burgess explores contradiction/duality as a
ultimate reality. His understanding of this phrase reflects the world as a set of
fundamental and coequal oppositions of forces, and this is evident throughout the
novel (Sparknotes, 2015:1). In the following essay we will be exploring the concept
of contradictions/duality as portrayed in the novella by referring to the following
contradictions namely; good versus evil, commitment versus neutrality, free will
versus the Clockwork orange , man versus government, youth versus maturity and
intellect versus intuition.

The novel revolves around what happens when a person s free will is taken away
(Novelguide, 2015:2). Alex asserts his free will by choosing a course of wickedness,
but he is subsequently robbed of his self determination by the governments
implementation of the Ludovico Technique upon him (Sparknotes, 2015:1). By
making Alex a ruthless and wicked criminal, Burgess argues that humanity must, at
any cost, insist that individuals be allowed to make their own moral choices, even if
that freedom results in depravity (Sparknotes, 2015:1). When the government

nothing more than a thing, something like a machine, something as unnatural as a

By following the guidelines of the Atkin s Diet, the lack of carbohydrates in the diet
induces high amounts of ketone bodies. Ketone bodies are the fats that the body is
not able to metabolize completely because there are not enough carbohydrates

Organ donation is a sensitive, heartbreaking worldwide predicament. There are
currently over 80,000 people waiting on organs. Regrettably, the criteria for
donating organs is rigorous, as well as tedious and strict. Furthermore, several
ailments such as having HIV, actively spreading cancer, or severe infection would
exclude an individual from being able to donate organs (WebMD, 2015). In order
for someone to be a donor they must be between the age of seventeen and their
early seventies. They also must be a compatible blood type. (University of
Maryland Medical Center, 2015) Sadly, recipients are dying by the thousands
waiting for matches. The legalization of organ sales have been swept under the rug
and overlooked for several decades due to the ethical concerns that accompany it.
Unfortunately, the longer the issue is not discussed thousands of children, woman,
and men will continue to die. Substantial compensation for organs and tissue is
needed. The lack of available organs has led to not only the illegal harvesting of
organs but even the murders of innocent individuals as well. Moreover, what could
the possible repercussions be if organs were legally sold? A drastic change such as
how organs are distributed could positively affect the lives of thousands waiting for
