This civics and government class lesson teaches students about presidential campaigns through hands-on learning. Students will observe campaign materials used by President Obama, including speeches, ads, and social media. They will then work in groups to create mock presidential campaigns, developing wiki pages containing a speech, social media feeds, ads, and political cartoons. Groups must explain why each campaign aspect is important and how they used it. One secret student from each group will vote for the winning campaign based on persuasiveness.
