the
whole
Paris
was
under
a
state
of
alarm.
First
time
I
feel
like
everybody
in
Paris
has
came
together
to
solve
the
unfairness.
As
a
group,
we
decided
to
destroy
a
symbol
of
this
monarchy-­‐
The
Bastille.
Though
there
were
only
7
prisoners,
The
Bastille
symbolizes
Louis
XVI’s
absolute
power
and
this
sick
form
of
ruling.
This
would
let
the
king
know
that
we
are
not
happy
with
how
he’s
dealing
with
us.
I
was
very
furious
about
his
attitude,
he
said
he
would
listen
to
our
advice,
but
it’s
just
a
saying.
He
is
so
selIish
and
all
he
ever
cares
is
just
the
rich
people
like
nobles.
We
peasants
are
most
of
the
population;
however,
we
don’t
have
any
rights!
We
were
able
to
get
access
to
about
3000
muskets
and
a
few
cannon.
Luckily,
the
castle
only
had
about
110
guards
in
total.
Joined
by
a
few
of
the
King’s
soldiers,
we
stormed
the
Bastille.
People
roared,
hollered,
screamed
with
madness
as
the
Bastille
slowly
breaks
to
pieces.
The
commander
Marquis
De
Launay
tried
to
surrender
but
we
decided
we
can’t
stop.
The
king
and
queen
was
shocked
by
our
action.
Them
creatures
who
spent
all
their
time
with
leisure
and
luxury
will
understand
the
consequences.
“Let
them
eat
cake!”
I
hate
Marie
Antoinette
so
bad.
They
deserve
this.
Monarchy
deserves
to
be
overthrown.
We
deserve
to
be
well
feed,
well
clothed
and
have
rights.

happened
today.
In
my
life
I’ve
never
seen
such
a
bloody
and
violent
scene.
I
was
joyful
that
our
sickening
leader
Iinally
died,
off
with
his
head,
but
it’s
too
bloody!
Yesterday,
January
20th
,
1793,
Louis
XVI
was
publicly
executed
by
a
new
tool
called
the
Guillotine.
Not
long
ago,
we
peasants
broke
down
the
Bastille
declaring
the
decrease
of
the
power
of
monarchy.
Not
showing
any
actions
to
improve
his
way
of
ruling,
about
7000
women
of
Versailles
bringing
canons
and
smaller
weapons
marched
up
to
the
palace
killing
guards.
Finally,
Louis
XVI
stood
out
and
told
us
we
can
have
bread.
I
was
so
happy
that
we
are
no
longer
hungry!
Churches
are
stupid,
why
should
we
have
to
believe
something
that
we
can’t
see?
Also
because
of
the
money
and
land
it
uses,
we
don’t
like
it.
Churches
don’t
have
to
pay
taxes
but
we
do.
Churches
owns
10%
of
land
and
we
don’t.
Eventually,
the
Assembly
began
to
sell
church
lands
for
economy.
I
think
we
made
a
good
choice
about
this,
because
the
churches
also
represented
the
riches.
Overthrowing
the
churches
means
more
equality
for
our
peasants!
Place
de
la
Révolution
was
the
place
king
Louis
XVI
got
executed.
He
was
killed
as
a
citizen,
and
for
the
guilt
of
treason.
The
king
and
the
queen
Iled
to
Austria!
Our
enemy!
I
was
wrong
about
them,
they
not
only
treated
us
poorly,
and
now
they
are
trying
to
ditch
us?
Surely,
Louis
introduced
the
Guillotine
to
the
whole
France.
The
Guillotine
is
a
weapon,
a
bloody
tool,
used
to
cut
off
heads.
That
morning
king
Louis
XVI
was
tied
to
a
wooden
board
head
down
to
the
Guillotine.
A
sound
of
cracking
and
pounding,
the
king’s
head,
in
the
basket.
I
guess
now
monarchy
is
really
down.
Every
French
citizen
now
have
the
right
to
decide
what
we
want.
So
glad
he’s
dead
now!
Our
revolution
has
just
begun!

6. Marat’s Death
Napoleon comes to power

7. Nobody
really
rules
France
now.
France
decided
to
have
this
form
of
government
where
only
a
few
people
have
power
to
rule
the
country,
but
it
didn’t
really
work
out.
Wars
are
breaking
around
our
boarder,
lack
of
population
and
arm
forces
caused
our
enemies
to
take
a
chance.
Then,
a
brilliant
general
appeared
to
save
us.
Due
to
the
death
of
our
leader,
King
Louis
XVI,
a
brilliant
speaker
appeared
in
our
sight.
Maximilien
Robespierre.
One
of
the
main
goals
was
to
rid
France
of
religion,
which
included
vandalizing
churches,
and
creating
a
whole
new
calendar
renaming
the
months
and
changing
1792
-­‐
the
year
the
monarchy
was
abolished-­‐
to
'Year
One'.
Over
16,000
people
from
every
social
standing
were
beheaded,
and
guillotines
were
wheeled
into
town
squares
all
over
France.
At
Iirst,
I
liked
Robespierre.
I
thought
he
was
the
hero
and
would
create
justice
and
equality.
But
I
slowly
realized
the
massacre
is
way
too
bloody.
Also,
Jean
Paul
Marat,
a
political
theorist,
was
a
bloody
ruler
too.
He
creates
a
list
everyday
of
anti-­‐revolution
citizens.
Over
the
years,
thousands
and
hundreds
people
die.
It
was
reasonable
in
the
beginning,
only
people
who
showed
their
opposing
to
the
revolution
got
killed.
Then,
Marat
begins
to
get
suspicious
to
some
people
that
are
innocent.
As
time
pasts,
I
think
more
and
more
innocent
people
are
being
killed.
This
massacre
is
way
too
bloody.
If
this
continues,
I’m
afraid
the
whole
France
dies
under
Marat
and
Robespierre’s
rule!
At
July
13th
1793,
a
woman
killed
Marat
in
his
bathtub.
She
made
a
good
choice
to
end
Marat’s
life
and
his
thoughts.
Not
long
after
Marat
died,
Robespierre
died
too
on
July
28th
179c4.
People
Iinally
decided
that
this
revolution
under
his
rule
is
getting
out
of
hand
and
severe
external
conIlicts
are
happening
around
France’s
boarders.
Just
at
this
time,
Napoleon-­‐
a
brilliant
general
keeps
on
winning
wars
to
scare
off
our
enemies.
We
decided
he’s
just
the
right
person
at
the
right
time.
He
was
good
at
wars
and
also
good
at
politics.
Our
revolution
is
over,
and
France
is
now
at
its
best.
