9. A monthly benefit of $80 is paid to
each eligible child of a deceased,
eligible member, until age 19. This
benefit will continue until age 23 if
the child attends college, university
or vocational or technical school
full-time.
Child may also be eligible for up to
$1,750 each year in educational
grants. The grants are based on
financial need and will not exceed
$7,000 over a four year period.
10. Provides tuition-only scholarships to Catholic
colleges (up to $25k per year) for children of
members in good standing who, while serving
in the military forces in a combat zone are killed
or wounded by hostile action, and children of
members in good standing who are full-time
law enforcement officers or full-time
firefighters who are killed in the line of duty as
a result of criminal violence against them.

At Ground Zero in New York, Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson and Former Supreme Chaplain Bishop Thomas V. Daily join New York Police Department chaplain Rev. Robert J. Romano and Msgr. Ralph J. Maresca, secretary to the bishop. The Knights of Columbus Heroes Fund distributed a total of more than $1.3 million to families of emergency workers who died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
