  • I would first like to quickly run through with you and your wife a few of the fraternal and charitable things that the Knights have been up to. This part is more important for the wife because you joined the Knights and many times the wife is not really sure what the Knights is all about.

In Basement of Saint Mary’s Church in New Haven Ct. on March 29 th 1882 </li></ul><ul><li>125 years later the Knights of Columbus has grown to be the largest lay Catholic organization in the world. </li></ul>FRATERNAL BENEFIT SOCIETY: CHARITABLE WORKS <ul><li>In April of 2008, Pope Benedict declared Fr. McGivney a “Venerable Servant of God”. </li></ul>

Eisenhower and the American Legion thanked us for our efforts </li></ul><ul><li>Atheists filed three to remove those two words. </li></ul><ul><li>Knights of Columbus has been granted a standing in the case and is fighting to keep us “One Nation Under God.” </li></ul>
