Krystal Bright is a town which aim on
education. This is a town that give students
a better place to have their further study.
Krystal Bright has provide healthy food,
security system, local government, water and
waste management system, high level

1. Introduction
For ENBE final project, we need to propose a new town. To propose a new
town, we need to investigate about past, present and future town as an example.
To plan for the future town we need to refer to the past because we need to learn
from the past to achieve a better town and also focus on the needs of people, the
facilities, infrastructures and how it sustain in the future.

In this project, the town that we need to propose is about 15km to 30km and
the population in between 80,000 – 200,000 Malaysian. At first, we need to
create a new name, decide which kind of town we want, such as a town with a
lake or a town on a small island and choose a grid system to design our town.
This project can show that how well we learn about in the course and use it on
propose a new town.
2.The Town
Town Definition
 A built-up area with a name, defined boundaries, and local government, that is
larger than a village and generally smaller than a city.
 The particular town under consideration, especially one's own town.

 The chief city or town of a region.
 The permanent residents of a university town.
 The central part of a neighborhood, with its business or shopping area...
 Densely populated areas, especially as contrasted with the country or suburbs.
What makes a town
A town is usually a place with a lot of houses, but not a city. As with cities, there is
more than one way to say what a town is in different countries. In some places, it is a
kind of local government.
Generally, the difference between towns and villages or hamlets is the sort of
economy they have. People in towns usually get money from industry, commerce
and public service (working for the town) not agriculture (growing food).
What makes a good town
• Quality of school system
• Attitude of the town
• Income from our jobs
• Location
• Cost of Living
• Housing price/value
• Weather
• Quality and variety of Colleges and Universities close by
• Infrastructure

What makes a good township
A township is a small geographic area.
The term is used in three ways.
1. A survey township is simply a geographic reference used to define property
location for deeds and grants as surveyed and platted by the General Land
Office (GLO). A survey township is nominally six by six miles square, or
23,040 acres.
2. A civil township is a unit of local government. Civil townships are generally
given a name, sometimes abbreviated "Twp".
3. A charter township is similar to a civil township, found only in the state
of Michigan. Provided certain conditions are met, a charter township is mostly
exempt from annexation from contiguous cities or villages, and carries
additional rights and responsibilities of home rule.
What are the future towns
Future Towns covers every aspect of disaster resistant building, from large town
sized buildings to small dwellings, such as 'The Safe House'. It also discusses other
disasters, such as poor air quality, asteroid strikes and volcanic and Earthquake
activity. We change the way we live and how we design and engineer buildings and
transportation networks.
What makes a good town planning
Town planning for a better town, we need to plan for:
• Grouping homes
• Hospitals

• Recreational
• Shopping Centers
• Transportation

Ancient towns
Name of the town: Fenghuang ancient town
Location: Xiangxi Prefecture, Hunan Province in China

About the town:
• Fenghuang Ancient Town was built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of
Qing Dynasty, it was 500 years old.
• As a famous ancient town for its history and culture in China, The
attraction of Fenghuang Ancient Town is organically comprised of the
natural landscape and the humanistic environment.

Fenghuang Scenic Spots:
• Boating on Tuo River
• East-Gate Town Tower
• The Former Residence of Shen Congwen
• The Former Residence of Xiong Xiling
• Yang-Family Ancestral Memorial
What information or element that can use in my new future city
The river flowing right through the Fenghuang Ancient Town use as an attractive tourism
place, visitors can enjoy enjoy the work song of the boatman in tranquility. I can use the river
FengHuang ancient town as an example in my town, for example the river can be an attractive
place in my town for people who live in my town to relax and have fun at there, and the river is
not just for drink and food.

Conclusion
Conclusion
FengHuang ancient town is a national level famous town for its history and
culture; it has been built for long time ago. There have a river in FengHuang
ancient town that same with my future town. The river use as a tourism place
to attract tourist is a very good example for my future town.

Present Towns / township
Name of the town: Tubingen
Location: Stuttgart on a ridge between the Neckar and Ammer
rivers in the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany
About the town:
• It is a traditional university town in central Baden Württemberg, Germany.
It is situated 30 km south of the state capital, Stuttgart, on a ridge
between the Neckar and Ammer rivers.
• As of 2014 about one in three people living in Tubingen is a student.

• The city has a populatio n of roughly 90,000, of whom some 24,000 are
students attending Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen.
Conclusion
Tubingen is a town which aim is on education. There have a university name
University of Tubingen, it is a town that full of students. It has a high quality schooling
system so that almost half of the people who live in the town are students.
The future of towns and Better Towns
Case study: Sky tower & Garden
Location: Tokyo in Japan

Tubingen is a town which aim is on education. I can use Tubingen as my future town example,
such as what kind of school system that can be used to be an education town.

About the town:
• A new town in Japan for the future that has been developed in view of
environment and natural disaster prevention.
• A pedestrian’s only deck surrounded by lush greenery leads you safely
and comfortably from “Shin-Toyosu” Sta. to the apartment. Make the
daily commute to the station an enjoyable walk to and from home
surrounded by natural scenery.
• To create a lush natural environment together with conveniences for
daily living within 5 km from Tokyo.

Seismic Isolation & Seismic Control Hybrid System
The double protection of seismic isolation and control assert an unprecedented safety against
earthquakes. It is a state of the art building that assures long-life, quality housing in Japan. It
incorporates new technologies to countermeasure long-term damage done by earthquakes to ultra
high-rise buildings.
Power line-less town
In order to accomplish an unblemished landscape and increase the safety for any disaster
recovery efforts, all power lines are installed underground within the entire project. Cutting-edge
eco friendly technologies are being installed in order to make the project induce a productive
environment for living things to co-exist together.

Conclusion
Sky tower & Garden in Tokyo is a town that focuses on the natural disaster
prevention. To provide a safety new future town for people who live in there.

6.The Krystal Bright
Solution of create a new town:
I use the present town Tubingen as an example and guild line for my new
town. At first, I research about how to propose a new education town. A town
that can provide high level education and also a better place for students to
continue their further studies.

• The whole town is surrounded by park.

What are the sustainable or green approaches of your town
A sustainable town or eco-town is a town designed with consideration of environmental impact,
inhabited by people dedicated to minimization of required inputs of energy, water and food, and waste
output of heat, air pollution - CO2, methane, and water pollution.

Conclusion
Krystal Bright will be the town which students are looking for in the future.
Expect for the high level education, Krystal Bright also provide healthy food
and jobs for people who live in our town.
7.Conclusion
Based on what I have done in this project, I know that to
propose a new town is a hard work. Before propose the town,
we need to finish own research and then we can start planning
about the town. We need to plan for what we want to
concentrate on, what kind of infrastructure is needed in town
and more to plan. Besides that, we also need to plan for the
transportation and other extra elements.
After the planning part, we can start to sketch out the
layout we want to propose and then improve. Lastly, it’s to
time to come out our own town.
I learn a lot of new skills in this project, such as how
to plan a town and else, so I hope I have the second chance
to tried again.
