I ve often experienced feelings of regrets because of risks I have taken or not taken and words I
have said or left unsaid. I sometimes think about how I will deal with these in my future life and
how I will cope with grief and other emotions as I grow older. In her book, Option B, author Sheryl
Sandberg helps me deal with moments like these. She states, Of the hundreds of answers, most had

Dancers by Dagmar Hrusova. In the article, Hrusova explains that dance can help develop social

Fault tolerance is the characteristic of a system that tolerates the class of failures. It will analysis

When I first picked up the book for Winslow, I didn t expect to be inspired by his work. Yet,
besides other artists his artwork stuck out to me, mainly the ones water related. I decided to
choose The Blue Boat, as my modern masterpiece because I felt that it was a combination of his
drawings including people, as well as his drawings of nature and the sea. It was a balance between
the types of artwork he created, and my interest in the sea. When I first brought in the my sketch I
thought of using paint, but seeing that Winslow did use watercolor at one point, I decided to go
with that. In the drawing I was going for a more dystopian feel, so i didn t want to dilute the blue
too much. I kept a dark tone to the piece and created a contrast between the dark colors of the top
of the page, and the light colors of the bottom of the page. To modernize the piece I added
buildings, smoke stacks and a Mcdonald s sign to the background. The piece shows what could
happen if pollution gets out of hand, murky lakes and smoke filled skies. In the piece I replaced
the trees with buildings, and with the buildings I tried to create a visual equilibrium between the
two sides of the piece. Throughout the entire time of drawing and coloring the piece, I enjoyed the

The idea behind the Voyager s Golden Record was created by a NASA team in 1977, which was
led by an Astronomer from Cornell University, Carl Sagan. The Golden Record was designed to
show Earth s experiences to an Alien world. The record was designed with sounds and images to
show the diversity of the human population on Earth. Essentially, the Golden Record was a time
capsule for extra terrestrial intelligence (Molteni, 2016). The Golden Record was not the first
time we tried to reach out to alternative life forms. The Pioneer 10 and 11 launched into space
carrying small metal plaques in the early 70 s, which only indentified time and place for the extra
