FOAF (Friend of a Friend) is a vocabulary used to describe people, their activities and relationships with other people and objects on the web. It is well defined for describing people in social networks but does not describe family relationships, addresses, phone numbers etc. FOAF specifications divide terms into Core and Social Web categories. Examples of FOAF descriptions and references to related resources are also provided.
