The CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries) offers a three-year Export Coaching Programme to help small and medium enterprises in Central America expand exports to Europe. The programme provides training, coaching, participation in trade missions and fairs. It aims to help companies enter the European market by developing their export skills and knowledge. The programme will connect companies with European importers. To participate, companies must be in the agriculture or food sector, committed to the programme, and able to invest in market requirements. Most costs are covered but companies contribute €750 and cover some travel costs. The programme runs in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama with local partners.
