Late Fusion by aggregating
probabilities
Text-based Floods Detection
Multi-Modal Analysis
Dealing With Class Imbalance
 The data provided for the task was imbalance
 Class 0 = 4269 instances
 Class 1= 1134 instances
 We use Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) for balancing.
 We combine oversampling and undersampling by using the SMOTEomek class
provided by scikitlearn.
Results
Conclusion and Future Work
 Bag of Word performed better for the textual classification.
 Textual and visual data complemented each other and improved the overall
accuracy.
 The current study, equal weights have been used in late fusion for all classifiers.
 In future, we will incorporate techniques like Particle Swarm Optimization and
Genetic Algorithm to optimize weight assignment to different classifiers.
