MY VISION: I am on day 70 of P90X, and have had an extremely positive experience.  Beachbody  products are a proven success and are sweeping the nation at epidemic rates.  I want to be apart of it and believe strongly that your core values are consistent with mine.  I believe my  concept will uphold your standards and reputation for premium and innovative products. Currently, Beachbody products are packaged for individual purchase, and mainly for adults.  We need the P90X experience at the high school level.  I envision a version for beginners  (average students), physical education classes, and kids who play sports (athletes).  With the increase in childhood obesity, decreased funding for schools & athletics and the  slashing of school budgets – A new and affordable packaged program “Fit 4 School” by  Beachbody catering to the needs of high school students and their schools, is a Homerun!  Educators love researched programs that come in packages ready for distribution, that will  benefit kids.  My experiences as a respected school Administrator, Athletic Director, physical education  teacher, high school coach, youth coach and camp director, qualify me as an asset to  promote this product. This document will spell out, in detail, my plan to team up with Beachbody to roll out the new wave of fitness programs to sweep the nation.

WHY BEACHBODY – NEEDS ASSESSMENT EXPLAINED: COST, PERSONNEL, SPACE & TIME! Why the average high school student? Increase in Obesity rate = more health related issues Most average students afraid of going to a gym Cost!  Students can’t afford cost of gym membership Personnel : Most schools don’t have staff Space:  Not enough room to train and/or no fitness room at school Time:  Kids need a fun & quick workout-most avg. kids  turned off by traditional weight training Why Athletics? Cost:  Coaches & Athletes pay thousands of dollars on  trainers, gyms, & training programs Personnel:  All coaches want their kids to workout under  their supervision: most are not qualified fitness instructors Space:   Coaches need a workout program that uses  minimal space and can be done almost anywhere. Time:  Coaches need a program that is quick and effective  enough to work in season Why PE class? Education: most state standards are emphasizing fitness  as a core value in PE instruction – getting away from  sports Cost:  Schools are cutting PE, or can’t afford new  equipment Personnel : Not enough PE teachers to meet kids’ needs Space:  most schools don’t have room for fitness room Time:  PE classes need to be flexible depending on the  school
PRODUCT:  FIT 4 SCHOOL HOMEWORK HAS NEVER BEEN SO MUCH FUN! COST:   A Beachbody product packaged specifically for high school aged students and packaged affordably for schools. Low cost program that meets the needs of ALL students Discounts for multi-team purchases, multi-school purchases  PERSONNEL:  Beachbody products safely stand alone- an expensive teacher, trainer or gym is not needed.  Any  coach can oversee, with signed consent from parents. This flexibility would allow for maximized use: during PE-more students per teacher, after school programs run by  parents or teachers and athletic workouts that the coach could oversee without paying for gyms, trainers or expensive programs SPACE:  Beachbody workouts use minimal space and equipment, a dream come true for educational programs Multiple workouts could be done daily in PE class, after school and during team practice.  Summer workouts could be spread  out and offered for beginners and advanced students. TIME:  Beachbody workouts could be catered to meet time restraints placed on school & educational programs Multiply time oriented programs could meet various needs: i.e. 40 PE class, 30 min. in season athletic workout and  60 minute off-season workouts.
ROLL OUT OF PROGRAM: Summary:   The Beachbody concept of massive advertisement and personal coach sales is a successful one.  I  believe the same concept could work well with this proposed program.  I do believe, however, that  educators tend to purchase products from those they trust.  They are responsible for the well-being of  their students and fund products with taxpayers money.  This is where I come in.  I suggest Beachbody develop an unbelievable product to fit the high school  student population (average student, PE student and athlete) and roll it out in choice school districts with trusted, hand picked, respected individuals in the field of education, fitness and athletics.  Once the product is rolled out and proven, every school in the country will want it.  If it is rushed and fails- that will be the kiss of death.  My role would be to sell this product to the educational community.  I am a well-respected coach, teacher and administrator in the state of Massachusetts, as well as, a satisfied  Beachbody consumer.  We are building one of the most beautiful new schools in the country, set to open in the fall of 2012.
