FIRST OF ALL (4)
Hebrews 10:8-10 Previously saying,
"Sacrifice and offering, burnt
offerings, and offerings for sin You did
not desire, nor had pleasure in them"
(which are offered according to the
law), 9 then He said, "Behold, I have
come to do Your will, O God." He takes
away the first that He may establish
the second. 10 By that will we have
been sanctified through the offering of
the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

B. This week we will look at eight more.
I. FIRST, THE FARMER
PARTAKES OF THE CROPS
2 Timothy 2:6 The hard-working farmer
must be first to partake of the crops.
II. FIRST COVENANT NOW
OBSOLETE
A. Hebrews 8:13 In that He says, "A new
covenant," He has made the first obsolete.
Now what is becoming obsolete and growing
old is ready to vanish away.
B. Hebrews 10:8-10 Previously saying,
"Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and
offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had
pleasure in them" (which are offered
according to the law), 9 then He said,
"Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God."
He takes away the first that He may establish
the second. 10 By that will we have been
sanctified through the offering of the body of
Jesus Christ once for all.
III. FIRST WISDOM IS PURE
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from
above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and
good fruits, without partiality and without
hypocrisy.
IV. FIRST, JUDGMENT BEGINS
AT THE HOUSE OF GOD
1 Peter 4:17-18 For the time has come
for judgment to begin at the house of
God; and if it begins with us first, what
will be the end of those who do not obey
the gospel of God? 18 Now "If the
righteous one is scarcely saved, Where
will the ungodly and the sinner appear?“
V. FIRST NO PROPHECY IS OF
PRIVATE INTERPRETATION
2 Peter 1:19-21 And so we have the
prophetic word confirmed, which you do
well to heed as a light that shines in a
dark place, until the day dawns and the
morning star rises in your hearts; (20)
knowing this first, that no prophecy of
Scripture is of any private interpretation,
(21) for prophecy never came by the will
of man, but holy men of God spoke as
they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
VI. FIRST KNOW THAT
SCOFFERS WILL COME
2 Peter 3:3-9 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in
the last days, walking according to their own lusts, (4) and
saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of creation." (5) For this they willfully forget: that
by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth
standing out of water and in the water, (6) by which the
world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
(7) But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved
by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of
judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (8) But, beloved, do
not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a
thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (9) The
Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count
slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that
any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
VII. FIRST, HE LOVED US
1 John 4:18-19 There is no fear in love;
but perfect love casts out fear, because
fear involves torment. But he who fears
has not been made perfect in love. 19 We
love Him because He first loved us.
VIII. FIRST LOVE AND FIRST WORKS
Revelation 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have this
against you, that you have left your first
love. 5 Remember therefore from where
you have fallen; repent and do the first
works, or else I will come to you quickly
and remove your lampstand from its
place--unless you repent.
WHAT IS FIRST IN YOUR LIFE?
A.Are your priorities straight?
B.Are you putting first things first?
C.Are you putting God’s things first?
D.JOY = Jesus first, Yourself last, Others
in-between.
