New Delhi: India is pro-

LOCKDOWN HAS CAUSED 80 PERCENT
REVENUE LOSS TO RAJASTHAN: GEHLOT
First India Bureau
Jaipur: Chief Minister
Ashok Gehlot on Monday
said the state has witnessed
an 80 percent fall in its rev-
enue due to lockdowns im-
posed to curb the spread of
COVID-19. He said that after
corona cases come down, the
economic acitivity in Ra-
jashtan should increase in
such a way that the revenue
starts coming back.
The CM was speaking dur-
ing a virtual event during
which Hindustan Zinc Ltd
(HZL) handed over 500 oxy-
gen concentrators to the
state to support its fight
against COVID-19.
“We went for lockdown.
But, our financial condition
is not like that of the UK. So,
today, we are in trouble. Our
80 percent revenue has been
reduced due to the lock-
down,” he said. Stating that
the state is giving top prior-
ity to the vaccination for
COVID-19, he said the state
has done vaccination at
5,81,000 jabs per day
.
Gehlot said that the Cen-
tral government did not plan
enough for the vaccination
drive and as a last resort
handed the responsibility to
states. Now, major global
pharmaceutical companies
have refused to enter into
vaccine agreement with the
states, he said. Turn to P6

CENTRAL GOVT DISCRIMINATING WITH
BENGAL ON FUNDS FOR YAAS: MAMATA
Kolkata: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on
Monday alleged that the Centre was depriving the state by
allocating insufficient funds to fight cyclone Yaas com-
pared to what was being allocated to Odisha and Andhra
Pradesh. “They have announced an advance fund of Rs
600 crore each to Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and a little
more than Rs 400 for West Bengal. I have questioned why
Bengal was being deprived despite being a larger state with
a dense population. I asked Shah why this discrimination.
He said would talk later and that allocation was based on
scientific views,” said Banerjee.

Jaipur: In the coming
days, the campaign re-
lated to vaccination of
18 plus can be affected.
While the doses sent in
the districts are also on
the verge of ending.
The second wave of Co-
rona has instilled a
sense of fear in the pub-
lic due to which every-
one is rushing to get
vaccinated and in such
a scenario the slots for
18 to 44 age group is get-
ting booked rapidly
. The
rush is so huge that the
slots for vaccination in
all centers are booked
even before the booking
for online slots begins
at 8:30 PM.
Director RCH Dr Lax-
man Singh Ola says that
there has been shortage
of vaccine in the state
for some time. The vac-
cination program being
run for youth category,
in particular, is facing a
high shortage of vac-
cine. Although govt is
procuring the vaccine
in the required propor-
tion, they are not being
supplied as needed.
Former BJP state president
Ashok Parnami has de-
manded to setup a vaccina-
tion camp for 18-44 years
in Adarsh Nagar. He met the
CMHO of Jaipur, Dr Narot-
tam Sharma on Monday and
handed over the memoran-
dum. Parnami writes that
every ward should have a
vaccination camp under the
supervision of the elected
councillors. Right now, even
though the people of 18-44
age-group are getting the
vaccine, they are facing
difficulties in booking their
slots and the drive is weak-
ening. With such vaccina-
tion camps, vaccination can
be fast and we can restore
normalcy.

FOR REMARKS ON
DOCS RAMDEV
EATS HUMBLE PIE
his time Baba Ram-
dev bit more than he
could chew. In a video
theyogaguru-turned-
FMCG tycoon pur-
portedly called allopathy a “stu-
pid and bankrupt science” and
said that during the pandemic
lakhs of people died due to allo-
pathic treatment. These deaths,
he purportedly said, were far
more than those caused by short-
age of oxygen or because people
did not get treatment. Despite
Ramdev issuing a clarification
saying that his remarks were
taken out of context, the Indian
Medical Association, which has
3.5 lakh members, served a legal
notice on him for his “baseless
and unscrupulous claims made
for cheap publicity”.
Ramdev earlier claimed to
have developed “proof-based
drug” for Covid-19 but his claim
fell flat as the medicine did not
have the Union Health Minis-
try’s approval. Once again he has
had to eat humble pie after he
was directed by Dr Harsh Vard-
han to retract his remarks
against allopathy which has
saved lives during this pandem-

Biswa Sarma hit
the nail on its
head when he said
that global tenders being
floated for Covid-19 vaccine is
“an exercise in futility” and
has “no value beyond public-

the states to have floated a

serving the situation, I think
it might be an exercise in fu-

. Except for publicity, I
don’t think anything substan-
tial will come,” Sarma said.
Sarma has been proved
right. Delhi and Punjab,
which floated tenders to meet
the shortage of vaccines as
the Central government is
struggling to meet the coun-
try’s requirement for shots,
have been rebuffed by the
multi-national vaccine mak-
ers. In the case of Delhi, the
Kejriwal government has
been told by Pfizer and Mod-
erna that they will deal only
with the Central government.
Pfizer also turned down Pun-
jab’s request for vaccines.
Thereareotherstatesawait-

“publicity” exercise. Karna-
taka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Ma-
harashtra and Uttar Pradesh
are the states banking on sup-
plies through their respective
tendering process. What will
be the outcome of their bid-
ding process can well be imag-
ined. Pfizer has categorically
stated that it deals with Cen-
tral governments and Moder-
na has no “extra supplies”.
The states should explain
to the masses why ramping
up production is impossible
and people should follow
safeguards until jabs are
available.

NEW PRODUCTS AND
INNOVATIVE THOUGHTS
ounder of Amazon, Jeff Be-
zos, addressing a board
meeting, once told his em-
ployees and shareholders, “I
don’t worry much about
profitability; my prime focus
is to sow seeds of business
with fresh ideas.” He further
elaborated saying that the
amount of concentration
that we give to the current
business, in fact, the same
amount or rather more is re-
quired for the development
of new products and for new
business ideas. “I could get
considerably less profit in
the new business as com-
pared to my current busi-
ness; still I will be happier in
that situation.”
Business Innovation is a
sign of real growth. If we do
not have the ability to do
something new, then the
business will eventually face
a downfall. The market cur-
rently is very dynamic and
will remain more so in the
near future. If you want
your business to sustain for
a longer period, then you
have to develop new prod-
ucts and gain mastery and
achieve new techniques and
ideas. Amazon spends 40
million dollars every year
for new products and for de-
signing new business ideas.
To stay one step ahead of the
market is the company’s pre-
determined goal.
When Steve Jobs became
the Chief of Apple, the first
task he took up was to chal-
lenge the business plan of
the company. When he took
charge of the company, it
was witnessing a growth
rate of 10 percent. He ad-
vised the top management
of the company to give max-
imum importance to Innova-
tion. He formed a group of
young employees so that
there would be a continuous
flow of fresh ideas within
the company and he would
personally guide and moni-
tor this group. After relent-
less efforts, many innovative
products of Apple came into
the market, and today, Apple
has become the largest mo-
bile device company in the
world market scenario.
Multiple strategies for in-
novation are employed by
various top companies. Re-
cently, a global company,
keeping innovation in mind,
has placed a three-fold plan,
which is worth knowing. For
the growth plan, the compa-
ny has introduced for the
very first time, the “S-curve”
theory in the market.
According to this theory,
the company has set a goal
of keeping the growth pa-
rameters double as com-
pared to the prevalent mar-
ket standard, with the main
aim to introduce new prod-
ucts and expand the terri-
tory of its products in the
market. The other two strat-
egies consist of ways to
build direct contact with the
consumer and to view your
business as a designer.
These two can be considered
as very crucial Innovation
strategies.
PG, a top name in the
Consumer Durables Indus-
try, lays prime focus on In-
novation in Business. To
track the market for its new
products, the company has
set up a separate department
which only focuses on the
designing of new products
and deciphers consumer
feedback. The company tries
to keep its consumers up-
dated with new products and
new thought processes.
For business expansion,
Innovation holds the utmost
importance. The companies
which are able to blend In-
novation with expansion,
witness consistent growth.
Few tips

z Innovation should be an
important aspect of your
business.

z For a business to witness
growth, new products
should be introduced in the
market at regular intervals.

z Your company should be
famous for your products.

z You should deploy a sepa-
rate team to put across new
products in the market, who
can devote more time for
research and development.

Conundrum...
the Centre told the Ker-

fixed target for dispen-
sation of vaccines to
the states and Union
Territories”.
Giving data on vac-
cine production in the
same affidavit, the Cen-
tre said currently, the
Pune-based SII is pro-
ducing 6.5 crore doses
of Covishield a month.
Covaxin manufacturer
Bharat Biotech is pro-
ducing 2 crore doses of
a month.
Many states, includ-
ing Delhi and Maha-
rashtra, had to shut a
chunk of vaccination
centres, given the short-
age. Most states are also
desperately trying to
shop for vaccine from
abroad -- efforts that are
yet to meet with much
success.
The Serum Institute
has ramped up its pro-
duction from 5 crore
doses a month to 6.5
crore doses a month. A
further boost is expect-
ed by July, the Centre
said.
Bharat Biotech has
increased production
from 90 lakh doses a
month to 2 crore doses a
month. A boost by July
is expected there too –
the firm is expected to
produce 5.5 crore doses
a month.

metric tons. Delhi gov-
ernment has imported

entire COVID period,” the
Delhi Chief Minister said.
New Delhi: As many as

cases have a history of
COVID-19, while 875
cases are amongst non-

tes was present in 55

municated that indis-
criminate use of ster-

hospitals) of patients
hospitalised with
Covid-19 during the
last wave, found a
study by the Indian
Council of Medical
Research(ICMR)pub-

.
The mortality in
patients with these
secondary infections
increased to 56.7% as

lLarge number of children being infected by Corona is worrisome, said Gehlot l Union Government should have made a roadmap for vaccination much earlier
First India Bureau
Jaipur: Chief Minister
Ashok Gehlot on Mon-
day, described the Co-
rona infection as
'Behrupiya' (polymor-
phic) as Prime Minister
Narendra Modi had ear-
lier used the term for
the virus.
“Corona is like a
Behrupiya. Whosoever
has said this about it, is
right. It is important to
be vigilant at all times.
We are conducting
'Door-to-door' surveys
in villages. Lockdown
has also been extended.
Now public awareness
is important. The Cov-
id-19 pandemic has also
reached children. A
large number of chil-
dren are testing posi-
tive in various districts.
I took the figures this
morning only,” Gehlot
said, while speaking at
the virtual foundation
stone laying ceremony
programme of the 30
km long road projects
in the Viratnagar area.
Gehlot said till now,
vaccinations in the
country has been free,
but this time, the Gov-
ernment of India has
put the onus for this on
the states. The Union
Government should
have made a roadmap
for vaccination much
earlier, but could not
make it. “We have 15-20
companies making
vaccines here. There
was no emphasis on
getting the vaccine on
time and making it in
the country. Sonia Gan-
dhi and former PM Dr
Manmohan Singh also
wrote to the PM to fo-
cus on vaccination, but
no attention was paid.
Had the vaccination
been on time, we would
have survived the cri-
sis,” he said.
In the second wave,
more young people are
dying because the el-
derly have been vacci-
nated. Now children
will be more affected by
the third wave as such
the biggest focus should
be on vaccination.
Gehlot said only
treatment in hospitals
cannot abolish Corona.
The real battle will be
won in the field and it is
necessary to follow and
take care of the Corona
protocol. “I myself test-
ed Corona positive but
due to two doses of vac-
cines it was mild and I
could be saved,” he said.
A lot of deaths are
being reported this
time due to Corona.
The Rajasthan Govern-
ment has made ar-
rangements to bear the
expenses of the funeral
of the Covid victims.
On the other hand,
dead bodies are being
thrown into the Ganges
in UP and Bihar. “The
country is becoming
infamous in the world,”
he alleged.

‘MASTER STRATEGIST’
GEHLOT’S SMART MOVE!
The master of politics, CM Ashok Gehlot killed many
birds with one stone on Monday, by giving a befitting
reply to those, who are always looking for a chance to
taunt the government within the party. Earlier, two MLAs
of the Pilot camp, Hemaram and Ved Solanki, were critical
about the work and said that no work is being done in
their areas. The former leader even resigned 6 days back
citing no development work in his region. But on Monday,
Gehlot responded with a virtual programme of foundation
stone laying ceremony in Virat Nagar. Meanwhile, CM also
delivered a big message on the pretext of Indraj that those,
who take interest in their area’s development, the progress
in their region never ends. Indraj also went to Manesar
with Pilot during the political crisis, but he never publicly
criticised CM. Hence, CM also instructed to complete his
work without discrimination. Gehlot’s political strategy is
truly unmatched. Gehlot camp is likely to use Indraj as an
‘answer’ to the accusations of the Pilot camp in the future.

Jaipur: The post of
Secretary in Bhilwara
UIT, which is consid-
ered to be an important
UIT in the state due to
itsbudgetsize,hasbeen
lying vacant for the last
five months due to po-
litical reasons.
The District Collec-
tor has explained the
entire situation to the
Department of Per-
sonnel, saying that the
work of UIT is being
severely affected and
has written four let-
ters for the appoint-
ment of the Secretary
in the concerned de-
partment.
However, the deci-
sion is lying pending
because of the involve-
ment of Congress lead-
ers over the matter of
posting.
The Congress Dis-
trict President and a
local MLA want the
officer of their choice
to be appointed as the
Secretary in Bhilwara
UIT.
Sanjay Sharma, who
was the UIT Secretary,
was transferred in Jan-
uary this year, but no
officer was given this
posting and the charge
was given to a lower
rank official.
That time also, both
the Congress leaders
had recommended to
the Collector that of-
ficer of their choice
should be given the
charge.
Although, a woman
officer was given the
charge, but this did not
satisfy one of the lead-
ers. Later, another of-
ficer was given the
charge following
which, the woman of-
ficer went on leave.
It may be noted that
the Anti-Corruption
Bureau had raided the
Engineering Wing of
the UIT in November
last year and the law is
keeping a close eye on
three engineers. Shar-
ma got frightened due
to the ACB action and
stayed away from the
district headquarters
for a week.
He had put in a lot of
efforts to get shifted
and was finally trans-
ferred in January
.
Now, a faction of
Congress leaders is
trying for the RAS of-
ficer, who was holding
the post prior to Sanjay
Sharma.

“Blood donation be-

main agenda of Rak-

Jaipur jointly doing
blood donation drives
to bring awareness
among the public. The
youth between the age
group of 18 years to 45
years are mostly the
most active donors. It
is a matter of great
concern that once vac-
cinated there is going
to be an acute short-
age of blood,” said Ni-
tisha Sharma, Presi-
dent Jaipur Rakht-
kosh Foundation.
This kind of drive

of Rakthkosh foundation

Most youths donate as
they are being made aware
by Rakthkosh and Inaya

vaccinated they will not be
allowed to donate blood for

cination norms.
Amid the scorching heat
Rakthkosh Foundation,
Jaipur team members and
the other districts have al-
ready started the aware-
ness drive of “Blood dona-
tion before Vaccination

organised in

blood were donated. In

Even on Nurses day, 64

Chief Minister Ashok Ge-
hlot, Health minister

General Secretary of Rak-
thkosh Foundation in-
formed.
Rakthkosh Foundation
team is presently working
in 23 districts of Rajasthan
under the guidance of
Founder Dr Jitender Ku-
mar Soni (IAS) DM Nagaur
at present. Voluntarily
members are associated
and working 24 x7 to reach
out to the needy and help-
less patients who are in
dire need of blood.
Started in the year June
14, 2018. Nearly 500+ blood
donation camps and 35000+
blood donation units have
been collected during lock-
down 1 to date.
During the Ramadan pe-
riod also which is a very
auspicious period here also
Abdul from Deedwana do-
nated O+ blood to the per-
son in help. Rakthkosh
team members where ever
required are always ex-
cited and forthcoming
for this selfless service
for mankind.
Recently I remember
a young 23 girl from
Bhopal Asma Khan
truly an inspiration for
many inspiring youths
to come forward and
donate. She has donat-
ed blood 23 times and
recently under Rak-
thkosh Foundation also
came forward to help
mankind. NBTC Na-
tional Blood Transfu-
sion Council also had
emphasised that for a
minimum of 28 days a
vaccinated person cant
donate.
The concern the
foundation is all about
is that once vaccinated
blood donation can t be
organised for a restrict-
ed no of days. Here the con-
cern is blood transfusion is
given to patients in a wide
range of circumstances, in-
cluding serious injuries,
surgeries, childbirth, anae-
mia, blood disorders, can-
cer treatments and also
seasonal diseases like ma-
laria and dengue patients.
There are numerous rea-
sons and concern why
blood donation is very im-
perative.
On average on normal
days in the government hos-
pital blood banks in Jaipur
(some of them includes Sms
hospital, Trauma hospital,
JKLon hospital, Mahila
chikitsalaya hospitals) min-
imum of 500-550 units of
blood is required other than
private hospitals.
During emergency days
like now for covid and
thalassemia patients, de-
livery cases also 150 units
of blood are required eve-
ry day. 80 to100 units only
getting so here there is a
shortfall of 50 to 70 units
per day. So the youth be-
tween the age group of 18
to 45 years need to come
forward whose minimum
haemoglobin should be 12
and 48 kg weight and at
least not suffering from
diabetes, high bp. Shri
Amit Sharma HOD SMS
blood bank informed and
urged on behalf of Rak-
thkosh and Inaya founda-
tion to come forward and
join in this awareness
campaign.
Rakthkosh Foundation
along with Inaya Founda-
tion is trying to bring
awareness and appeal to
all the citizens of Ra-
jasthan and India to please
come forward and donate
blood to save a life, save
family and help in fulfill-
ing the dreams by saving
their lives.

SPIRITUAL SPEAK Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. —Hebrews 10:23 IN-DEPTH FOR REMARKS ON DOCS RAMDEV EATS HUMBLE PIE his time Baba Ram- dev bit more than he could chew. In a video theyogaguru-turned- FMCG tycoon pur- portedly called allopathy a “stu- pid and bankrupt science” and said that during the pandemic lakhs of people died due to allo- pathic treatment. These deaths, he purportedly said, were far more than those caused by short- age of oxygen or because people did not get treatment. Despite Ramdev issuing a clarification saying that his remarks were taken out of context, the Indian Medical Association, which has 3.5 lakh members, served a legal notice on him for his “baseless and unscrupulous claims made for cheap publicity”. Ramdev earlier claimed to have developed “proof-based drug” for Covid-19 but his claim fell flat as the medicine did not have the Union Health Minis- try’s approval. Once again he has had to eat humble pie after he was directed by Dr Harsh Vard- han to retract his remarks against allopathy which has saved lives during this pandem- ic.HasRamdevlearnthislesson? TOP TWEET T ssam Chief Minis- ter Himanta Biswa Sarma hit the nail on its head when he said that global tenders being floated for Covid-19 vaccine is “an exercise in futility” and has “no value beyond public- ity”. Uttar Pradesh is among the states to have floated a globaltenderandPfizerisone of the shortlisted vendors. “I don’tknowwhetherithasany value beyond publicity . When the Government of India is not getting vaccines, from where other companies will give you in global tender. Ob- serving the situation, I think it might be an exercise in fu- tility . Except for publicity, I don’t think anything substan- tial will come,” Sarma said. Sarma has been proved right. Delhi and Punjab, which floated tenders to meet the shortage of vaccines as the Central government is struggling to meet the coun- try’s requirement for shots, have been rebuffed by the multi-national vaccine mak- ers. In the case of Delhi, the Kejriwal government has been told by Pfizer and Mod- erna that they will deal only with the Central government. Pfizer also turned down Pun- jab’s request for vaccines. Thereareotherstatesawait- ingapositiveoutcomeof their “publicity” exercise. Karna- taka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Ma- harashtra and Uttar Pradesh are the states banking on sup- plies through their respective tendering process. What will be the outcome of their bid- ding process can well be imag- ined. Pfizer has categorically stated that it deals with Cen- tral governments and Moder- na has no “extra supplies”. The states should explain to the masses why ramping up production is impossible and people should follow safeguards until jabs are available. GLOBAL TENDERS WILL NOT FETCH JABS Delhi and Punjab, which floated tenders to meet the shortage of vaccines as the Central government is struggling to meet the country’s requirement for shots, have been rebuffed by the multi- national vaccine makers A NEW PRODUCTS AND INNOVATIVE THOUGHTS ounder of Amazon, Jeff Be- zos, addressing a board meeting, once told his em- ployees and shareholders, “I don’t worry much about profitability; my prime focus is to sow seeds of business with fresh ideas.” He further elaborated saying that the amount of concentration that we give to the current business, in fact, the same amount or rather more is re- quired for the development of new products and for new business ideas. “I could get considerably less profit in the new business as com- pared to my current busi- ness; still I will be happier in that situation.” Business Innovation is a sign of real growth. If we do not have the ability to do something new, then the business will eventually face a downfall. The market cur- rently is very dynamic and will remain more so in the near future. If you want your business to sustain for a longer period, then you have to develop new prod- ucts and gain mastery and achieve new techniques and ideas. Amazon spends 40 million dollars every year for new products and for de- signing new business ideas. To stay one step ahead of the market is the company’s pre- determined goal. When Steve Jobs became the Chief of Apple, the first task he took up was to chal- lenge the business plan of the company. When he took charge of the company, it was witnessing a growth rate of 10 percent. He ad- vised the top management of the company to give max- imum importance to Innova- tion. He formed a group of young employees so that there would be a continuous flow of fresh ideas within the company and he would personally guide and moni- tor this group. After relent- less efforts, many innovative products of Apple came into the market, and today, Apple has become the largest mo- bile device company in the world market scenario. Multiple strategies for in- novation are employed by various top companies. Re- cently, a global company, keeping innovation in mind, has placed a three-fold plan, which is worth knowing. For the growth plan, the compa- ny has introduced for the very first time, the “S-curve” theory in the market. According to this theory, the company has set a goal of keeping the growth pa- rameters double as com- pared to the prevalent mar- ket standard, with the main aim to introduce new prod- ucts and expand the terri- tory of its products in the market. The other two strat- egies consist of ways to build direct contact with the consumer and to view your business as a designer. These two can be considered as very crucial Innovation strategies. PG, a top name in the Consumer Durables Indus- try, lays prime focus on In- novation in Business. To track the market for its new products, the company has set up a separate department which only focuses on the designing of new products and deciphers consumer feedback. The company tries to keep its consumers up- dated with new products and new thought processes. For business expansion, Innovation holds the utmost importance. The companies which are able to blend In- novation with expansion, witness consistent growth. Few tips z Innovation should be an important aspect of your business. z For a business to witness growth, new products should be introduced in the market at regular intervals. z Your company should be famous for your products. z You should deploy a sepa- rate team to put across new products in the market, who can devote more time for research and development. JPC/010/2019-21 Coronais‘Behrupiya,’remainvigilantatalltimes:CM lLarge number of children being infected by Corona is worrisome, said Gehlot l Union Government should have made a roadmap for vaccination much earlier First India Bureau Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Mon- day, described the Co- rona infection as 'Behrupiya' (polymor- phic) as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had ear- lier used the term for the virus. “Corona is like a Behrupiya. Whosoever has said this about it, is right. It is important to be vigilant at all times. We are conducting 'Door-to-door' surveys in villages. Lockdown has also been extended. Now public awareness is important. The Cov- id-19 pandemic has also reached children. A large number of chil- dren are testing posi- tive in various districts. I took the figures this morning only,” Gehlot said, while speaking at the virtual foundation stone laying ceremony programme of the 30 km long road projects in the Viratnagar area. Gehlot said till now, vaccinations in the country has been free, but this time, the Gov- ernment of India has put the onus for this on the states. The Union Government should have made a roadmap for vaccination much earlier, but could not make it. “We have 15-20 companies making vaccines here. There was no emphasis on getting the vaccine on time and making it in the country. Sonia Gan- dhi and former PM Dr Manmohan Singh also wrote to the PM to fo- cus on vaccination, but no attention was paid. Had the vaccination been on time, we would have survived the cri- sis,” he said. In the second wave, more young people are dying because the el- derly have been vacci- nated. Now children will be more affected by the third wave as such the biggest focus should be on vaccination. Gehlot said only treatment in hospitals cannot abolish Corona. The real battle will be won in the field and it is necessary to follow and take care of the Corona protocol. “I myself test- ed Corona positive but due to two doses of vac- cines it was mild and I could be saved,” he said. A lot of deaths are being reported this time due to Corona. The Rajasthan Govern- ment has made ar- rangements to bear the expenses of the funeral of the Covid victims. On the other hand, dead bodies are being thrown into the Ganges in UP and Bihar. “The country is becoming infamous in the world,” he alleged. The master of politics, CM Ashok Gehlot killed many birds with one stone on Monday, by giving a befitting reply to those, who are always looking for a chance to taunt the government within the party. Earlier, two MLAs of the Pilot camp, Hemaram and Ved Solanki, were critical about the work and said that no work is being done in their areas. The former leader even resigned 6 days back citing no development work in his region. But on Monday, Gehlot responded with a virtual programme of foundation stone laying ceremony in Virat Nagar. Meanwhile, CM also delivered a big message on the pretext of Indraj that those, who take interest in their area’s development, the progress in their region never ends. Indraj also went to Manesar with Pilot during the political crisis, but he never publicly criticised CM. Hence, CM also instructed to complete his work without discrimination. Gehlot’s political strategy is truly unmatched. Gehlot camp is likely to use Indraj as an ‘answer’ to the accusations of the Pilot camp in the future. Although, a woman officer was given the charge, but this did not satisfy one of the lead- ers. Later, another of- ficer was given the charge following which, the woman of- ficer went on leave. It may be noted that the Anti-Corruption Bureau had raided the Engineering Wing of the UIT in November last year and the law is keeping a close eye on three engineers. It is a matter of great concern that once vac- cinated there is going to be an acute short- age of blood,” said Ni- tisha Sharma, Presi- dent Jaipur Rakht- kosh Foundation. This kind of drive on blood donation before Vaccination needs to take place in the entire state and nation Ram Gopal Vishnoi National President of Rakthkosh foundation insisted. Most youths donate as they are being made aware by Rakthkosh and Inaya team members that once vaccinated they will not be allowed to donate blood for a min period as per the vac- cination norms. Amid the scorching heat Rakthkosh Foundation, Jaipur team members and the other districts have al- ready started the aware- ness drive of “Blood dona- tion before Vaccination drive in VT Road, Mansa- rover Blood donation was organised in blood do- n a t i o n van taking care of a covid protocol. 47 units of blood were donated. In Manav Seva Blood Bank near SMS hospital, 15 units of blood were col- lected by Jaipur and Sikar Team Karan Chawla Sec- retary Jaipur Rakthkosh shared. Even on Nurses day, 64 units of blood were do- nated. Request for organising voluntarily blood dona- tion before vaccination in every vaccination centre has been submitted to Chief Minister Ashok Ge- hlot, Health minister Raghu Sharma, Chief Whip Mahesh Joshi and Police Commissioner of Jaipur Anand Srivastava sir Tarachand Sharma General Secretary of Rak- thkosh Foundation in- formed. Rakthkosh Foundation team is presently working in 23 districts of Rajasthan under the guidance of Founder Dr Jitender Ku- mar Soni (IAS) DM Nagaur at present. Voluntarily members are associated and working 24 x7 to reach out to the needy and help- less patients who are in dire need of blood. Started in the year June 14, 2018. Nearly 500+ blood donation camps and 35000+ blood donation units have been collected during lock- down 1 to date. During the Ramadan pe- riod also which is a very auspicious period here also Abdul from Deedwana do- nated O+ blood to the per- son in help. Rakthkosh team members where ever required are always ex- cited and forthcoming for this selfless service for mankind. Recently I remember a young 23 girl from Bhopal Asma Khan truly an inspiration for many inspiring youths to come forward and donate. She has donat- ed blood 23 times and recently under Rak- thkosh Foundation also came forward to help mankind. NBTC Na- tional Blood Transfu- sion Council also had emphasised that for a minimum of 28 days a vaccinated person cant donate. The concern the foundation is all about is that once vaccinated blood donation can t be organised for a restrict- ed no of days. Here the con- cern is blood transfusion is given to patients in a wide range of circumstances, in- cluding serious injuries, surgeries, childbirth, anae- mia, blood disorders, can- cer treatments and also seasonal diseases like ma- laria and dengue patients. There are numerous rea- sons and concern why blood donation is very im- perative. On average on normal days in the government hos- pital blood banks in Jaipur (some of them includes Sms hospital, Trauma hospital, JKLon hospital, Mahila chikitsalaya hospitals) min- imum of 500-550 units of blood is required other than private hospitals. During emergency days like now for covid and thalassemia patients, de- livery cases also 150 units of blood are required eve- ry day. 80 to100 units only getting so here there is a shortfall of 50 to 70 units per day. So the youth be- tween the age group of 18 to 45 years need to come forward whose minimum haemoglobin should be 12 and 48 kg weight and at least not suffering from diabetes, high bp. Shri Amit Sharma HOD SMS blood bank informed and urged on behalf of Rak- thkosh and Inaya founda- tion to come forward and join in this awareness campaign. Rakthkosh Foundation along with Inaya Founda- tion is trying to bring awareness and appeal to all the citizens of Ra- jasthan and India to please come forward and donate blood to save a life, save family and help in fulfill- ing the dreams by saving their lives. 10 ETC JAIPUR | TUESDAY, MAY 25, 2021 www.firstindia.co.in I www.firstindia.co.in/epaper/ I twitter.com/thefirstindia I facebook.com/thefirstindia I instagram.com/thefirstindia F A C E O F T H E D A Y VASUDHA SONI, Photographer LEO JULY 24 - AUGUST 23 You will have to be more focussed on the academic front.
