On the first day of work at McDonalds, the author arrived 15 minutes late but was forgiven and given a uniform. They first made salads but made too many, so some had to be thrown out. Their next task was cleaning floors, which they did thoroughly. However, during their lunch break the floors became dirty again. At the end of the shift, their supervisor praised their floor cleaning and reminded them to be on time tomorrow.

1. First day at the new job
McDonalds

2. 8:00 am
• I arrived to McDonalds restaurant in
Koskikeskus in Tampere.
• I found out that I was suppose to be there on
7:45. I was late.
• But I was forgiven and I got my working
uniform and they gave me my first
assignment.
• I started making salads.

3. 10:00 am
• I made as many salads that I could make.
• Then I found out that I should have followed a
certain limitations.
• I made too many salads and some of them
were trhougn away.
• Again, I was been forgiven but now my new
assignment was to clean floors.

4. 1:00 pm
• I cleaned all the floors the restaurant had as
perfectly as I could.
• My first lunchbreak was starting.
• After 30 minutes of break I found out that all
my hard work were ruined. The floors were
dirty again.
• My supervisior told me to cheer up and
continue cleaning.

5. 4:00 pm
• I cleaned all the floors again and my
supervisior told me that I had made a good
work with the floors.
• My supervisior told me that I could go home
now and that I should there tomorrow at time
or I’d be cleaning floors again.
