1. SPOONIE
APRONLY

2. Spoonie Apronly was
a wonderful chef. A
wonderful yet
unemployed chef.
Her mother always
made sure she
remembered she
was unemployed. She
left her the
newspaper open with
a big red circle
around the
employment ads.
But Spoonie didn’t want to
be a shop assistant, or a
waitress, not even a tour
guide. She wanted to be a
chef.

Spoonie kept quiet, because she knew
it was useless getting into an
argument.

4. One summer day, everything changed. A new
restaurant opened in Spoonie’s town.

5. Spoonie was buying food for one of her amazing
recipes when she saw an ad in the
restaurant’s door.

6. Spoonie entered the restaurant and talked
with the manager.
“You need to bring me a recipe tomorrow so

7. Spoonie ran back home
and planned her
recipe. After thinking
and thinking, she
settled on a
traditional Spanish
recipe.

8. When she went back to the restaurant
she carried her dish with her. The
manager smelled it before he tasted it.
“Ummm he said after taking a bite.
Ummm,”
