Assignment 4: Findings Report
Campaign Overview:
The purpose of this campaign was to add followers to the NAPsoftball brand social
media pages. Starting on the days before a game was played by NAP softball, the
blog would be updated with a preview of the upcoming game. On game day, live
tweets would be sent out of live game action. The day after a game, the Facebook
page would be updated with a recap of the previous nights game. So the campaign
would usually start on Sunday night with the game preview on Blogger. It would
continue on Monday night with live game tweets on Twitter from the game. Finally,
it would end on Tuesday, with a recap of the Monday night game on Facebook.
Objectives:
The objectives of this campaign were to promote what the various social media sites
for NAPsoftball offered and to gain followers on the various social media sites. The
hope was and still is, that people will get excited to see what the NAP softball team is
doing every week.
Trends:
The various social media sites saw minimal action as far as gaining new followers is
concerned during the course of the campaign.
Successes:
The Facebook page for NAP softball gained 8 new followers at the end of the second
week of the campaign. The Twitter page gained one new follower and the Blogger
page had one follower as well.
Failures:
I would have loved to see more followers like the NAP softball Facebook page and
more people follow the Twitter page.
Reflections:
I think a lot of kick starting the gaining of follower’s starts with getting the teams
players to like and follow the social media sites for NAPsoftball. At the end of the
second week only one other team member, besides myself liked the Facebook page.
Gaining the support of the actual team members would go a long way to getting
others to follow the social media sites for NAPsoftball.

  • 2. Campaign Overview: The purpose of this campaign was to add followers to the NAPsoftball brand social media pages. Starting on the days before a game was played by NAP softball, the blog would be updated with a preview of the upcoming game. On game day, live tweets would be sent out of live game action. The day after a game, the Facebook page would be updated with a recap of the previous nights game. So the campaign would usually start on Sunday night with the game preview on Blogger. It would continue on Monday night with live game tweets on Twitter from the game. Finally, it would end on Tuesday, with a recap of the Monday night game on Facebook. Objectives: The objectives of this campaign were to promote what the various social media sites for NAPsoftball offered and to gain followers on the various social media sites. The hope was and still is, that people will get excited to see what the NAP softball team is doing every week. Trends: The various social media sites saw minimal action as far as gaining new followers is concerned during the course of the campaign. Successes: The Facebook page for NAP softball gained 8 new followers at the end of the second week of the campaign. The Twitter page gained one new follower and the Blogger page had one follower as well. Failures:
  • 3. I would have loved to see more followers like the NAP softball Facebook page and more people follow the Twitter page. Reflections: I think a lot of kick starting the gaining of follower’s starts with getting the teams players to like and follow the social media sites for NAPsoftball. At the end of the second week only one other team member, besides myself liked the Facebook page. Gaining the support of the actual team members would go a long way to getting others to follow the social media sites for NAPsoftball.
