Thorough testing of all flows and performance benchmarking is also emphasized.
Determining the chart of accounts is a pivotal step in the development of any EPM solution, regardless of the product that is being implemented. Finit will be hosting a webinar to discuss various topics that should be considered when deciding on a chart of accounts. With a focus on users in both Finance and IT organizations, this webinar will be useful for anyone preparing to implement a new EPM solution, or redesign an existing application. Join us as we discuss and provide examples of:
The importance of the chart of accounts and application dependencies
Matching a chart of accounts to the application's purpose and usage
The benefits and trade-offs of:
Level of detail included in the chart of accounts
Naming conventions
Design - Functional, Natural, or Hybrid?
Downstream impacts on other aspects of the reporting process:
Data Integration
Cash Flow
Other specialized reporting
Financial analysis refers to business assessment in terms of stability, viability, profitability, and other important financial and non-financial factors. It is done through several different techniques, ratios, and charts, with the purpose of transforming static numbers from or in financial statements, to an added value for decision-makers. Usually, the analyzed information and the analysis results are presented frequently as a report or as a dashboard.
A dashboard (or data visualization) is used to present all indicators at once to help owners, investors, or managers make efficient decisions by identifying specific actions that should be taken to reach future targets or goals.

What is BI Testing and The Importance of BI Report TestingTorana, Inc.
Business intelligence (BI) report testing helps validate the accuracy of BI reports, dashboards, and the underlying data and metadata. It is important because inaccurate reports can mislead business decisions, damage credibility, and potentially cause legal issues. BI reports are the output of a long data pipeline, so defects may occur anywhere from raw data collection to report generation. Effective BI testing requires evaluating the data processing, storage, reports, and dashboards to catch errors throughout the entire reporting system. Automated testing tools can programmatically compare reports and data across systems and over time to help users efficiently test BI outputs.

Business intelligence - benefits of using an online analytical solutionHeadChannel
This document discusses the benefits of using a business intelligence (BI) solution compared to Excel-based reporting. BI solutions can analyze data faster, more efficiently, and accurately from multiple sources. They generate more detailed, wider-ranging, and accurate reports. BI also saves costs through greater efficiency, elimination of inaccurate data, and improved ability to predict trends. While Excel is flexible, BI mitigates issues like lengthy manual operations, reliance on qualified staff, and lack of historical data for comparison. The document provides an example of how a BI solution could improve an organization's item valuation, costs, and yield analysis reporting.

1. In the realm of Natural Language Processing (NLP), knowledge-intensive tasks such as question answering, fact verification, and open-domain dialogue generation require the integration of vast and up-to-date information. Traditional neural models, though powerful, struggle with encoding all necessary knowledge within their parameters, leading to limitations in generalization and scalability. The paper "Retrieval-Augmented Generation for Knowledge-Intensive NLP Tasks" introduces RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), a novel framework that synergizes retrieval mechanisms with generative models, enhancing performance by dynamically incorporating external knowledge during inference.

ViewShift: Hassle-free Dynamic Policy Enforcement for Every Data LakeWalaa Eldin Moustafa
Dynamic policy enforcement is becoming an increasingly important topic in today’s world where data privacy and compliance is a top priority for companies, individuals, and regulators alike. In these slides, we discuss how LinkedIn implements a powerful dynamic policy enforcement engine, called ViewShift, and integrates it within its data lake. We show the query engine architecture and how catalog implementations can automatically route table resolutions to compliance-enforcing SQL views. Such views have a set of very interesting properties: (1) They are auto-generated from declarative data annotations. (2) They respect user-level consent and preferences (3) They are context-aware, encoding a different set of transformations for different use cases (4) They are portable; while the SQL logic is only implemented in one SQL dialect, it is accessible in all engines.

Enhanced Enterprise Intelligence with your personal AI Data Copilot.pdfGetInData
Recently we have observed the rise of open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) that are community-driven or developed by the AI market leaders, such as Meta (Llama3), Databricks (DBRX) and Snowflake (Arctic). On the other hand, there is a growth in interest in specialized, carefully fine-tuned yet relatively small models that can efficiently assist programmers in day-to-day tasks. Finally, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures have gained a lot of traction as the preferred approach for LLMs context and prompt augmentation for building conversational SQL data copilots, code copilots and chatbots.
In this presentation, we will show how we built upon these three concepts a robust Data Copilot that can help to democratize access to company data assets and boost performance of everyone working with data platforms.
Why do we need yet another (open-source ) Copilot?
How can we build one?
