2. In our lives, all of us can name a figure who was a mentor to
us, someone who saw our potential and showed us how to
unlock it.
With our piece we aim to speak directly to teachers, to inspire
them to not only inform their students, but nurture their
ambition.
The message of the clip is ultimately that children often find it
hard to be ambitious, to have hope or to see their future
clearly.
We want to illustrate the power that good teaching has in
addressing that problem. Through a semi-abstract storytelling
style, we aim to show the impact good teaching had on our
protagonist using imagery developed from the original
transcript.
By using a more personal story we hope to encourage our
viewers to connect to their students on a personal level, and
help them to connect to their futures.

 In the past few years multiple new job opportunities have opened for people
be they male or female.
 Some of these jobs include: app developer, drone pilot, crowd-funding
specialists, professional gamer.
 However those are ones opening up in the present there are many other
hypothesised forms of work for the future some bordering the realm of
Science fiction.

5. EDUCATION HISTORY
 The current secretary of education is Nicky Morgan for the Conservatives
 The three most recent secretaries of education are:
 Michael Gove : Conservative
 Ed Balls : Labour
 Alan Johnson : Labour
 Since 1944, the secretary of education has changed almost each election between
the Conservatives and Labour with each change in leading parties, and some
changing during a single leaders time in office, in that time there has been 35 different
secretaries of education and most with very different ideas for how education should
be upheld.

6.  Each of the most recent secretaries of education had different ideas for education and are
better known for certain parts of their policies and their overall philosophies on education
 Nicky Morgan is someone who feels discipline and team work are important in both education and for the work place
so has made policies that reflect this. She also feels the idea that -religious teaching should be pluralistic and
therefore it was unlawful to exclude atheism -should be ignored as UK religious traditions are mainly Christian.
 Michael Gove’s beliefs were unpopular during his time stating that by the age of 6, children of low ability from richer
homes were still out-performing brighter children from poor backgrounds, he said that this separation of achievement
grew larger throughout pupils' school careers, stating, "In effect, rich thick kids do better than poor clever children”.
 Ed Balls decided to scrap SATs tests for 14-year-olds, a move which was broadly welcomed by everyone. He also
supported the Children, Schools and Families Bill, where part of the proposed legislation would see regulation of
parents who home educate their children in England, with annual inspections to determine quality of education and
welfare of the child.
 Johnson Felt the parents role in their child’s education was of great importance and encouraged parents to help
children with their education. He also felt that educators where under appreciated for the work they do and because
of this he also looked at improving pay and working conditions for teachers.

 Our project is aimed more for teachers than it is for students
 To go with this our marketing would look to do more with teacher
forums and the National Union for Teachers (NUT)
 Possibly this can be done with Facebook, Twitter and similar social
media.

13. ART STYLE
The video is to be modelled, animated
and rendered mainly in 3D with
elements of 2D. A cut-out effect will then
be applied to it in order to give the
moving image a stylised look. The
colour scheme mostly consists of pastel
colours: warm colours are to represent
the narrator’s childhood, as well as to
provide contrast with the cold colours
used to depict the struggle in the later
sections.
