This presentation summarizes José Daniel Sánchez's 2013 summer internship projects at Copa Airlines. The main projects included: 1) Redesigning departure, arrival, and approach procedures for Tocumen Airport to minimize delays and fuel use; 2) Conducting optimization studies on using new RNP procedures for 25-100% of flights and the impact of a new south pier; and 3) Performing capacity studies showing a need for a new third runway by 2024 to accommodate Copa and other carriers' growth.
