Introduction
A 3D TV stands for three-dimensional television which is a technology that enables
people to watch their favorite movies, programs and to play games in a three-
dimensional view. This technology was added to TV by scientists through which
special glasses are used (Hartman, n.d.). In my essay, I will present the history of
3D TV, how they use 3D TV these days and future of 3D TV. I chose this topic
because the people nowadays didn’t have any knowledge about the device that
they are dealing with it.
History of 3D TV
3D TV has become popular for people in 2010, but the technology itself was used by
people in the past (Velu, 2010). I will support my answer by providing you with
some evidence. First, in 1838, they used the first camera that allows the people to
take 3D photos. After several years and to be more specific it’s after seventeen
years they develop a new camera that help users to take a motion photos (Velu,
2010). Second, in 1851, Louis Jules Duboscq was taken a photo for Queen Victoria
and it was one of the most popular pictures in the world because he used improved
technology in the photo. Third, many scientists try their best to develop 3D
technology to be used in the films and images but when the World War 2 appeared
in the world the 3D images technology was a decline of interest for a few years.
(The history of 3D television – Evolution of 3D TV without glasses, 2015). The first
movie was used three-dimensional technology is (The Power of Love) in 1922 and in
1935 they produced the first 3D color movie. Also, from 1952 to 1955 they were
made forty-six 3D movies (Velu, 2010). From all of these facts, we can make sure
that they were use 3D technology in the past but in a simple and easier way than
now.
Present of 3D TV
Nowadays, Three-dimensional TV allows people to watch their favorite movies,
programs and playing video games in 3D technology (Hartman, n.d.). People can
buy the 3D TV and enjoy watching movies in their homes without the need to go to
the cinema or share watch movies with other people in one big screen. But, if
anyone wants to buy a 3D TV it's necessary to purchase new television equipment
that involves a 3D-ready TV, 3D-capable Blu-ray player and the special glasses. There
are a lot of companies that produce this kind of TV such as Panasonic, Samsung, and
Sony (Hartman, n.d.). Some people think that 3D TV technology dead and some of
them think it’s getting better. We can clearly see from the Disney's animated films
and other films that the use of 3D technology these days is successful because the
Hollywood studios are interested in making their movies in 3D technology and the
number of people who turned out to watch these movies was very large (Martin,
2008).

Present of 3D TV
From the numerous attempts that the most of manufacturers and companies work
on it now is to develop watching 3D TV without the need to wear special glasses,
we can understand that they want to make 3D TV better than the past (Martin,
2008). On the other hand, we can say that it’s dead because most of the people get
excited to buy any new technology but after a few months they feel bored because
they should wear the special glasses in every time they watch television (Welcome
to the future 3D TV without glasses, 2011). The rate of buying 3D TV has decreased
and the companies have less support to produce this kind of TV (Cohen, 2014).
Because they concluded from some people opinion that most of them feel
headaches and motion sickness after watching 3D movies (3D television, n.d.) and
that means if the people spend a lot of time watching TV and especially 3D TV they
will affect their health without feeling.
Future of 3D TV
One of the important improvements that they work on it now is to help people to
enjoy watching their favorite movies and programs without wearing the special
glasses by placing a lens on the screen with creates the same effect (Martin, 2008).
Also, they work to improve other features like find a solution for eye strain that
most of the people feel it after watching television by allow the users to control the
level of 3D (Welcome to the future 3D TV without glasses, 2011). According to Ben
Nicholls was said, "You’ll feel as if you are actually in Pat Butcher’s kitchen, and if
you are a big football fan, you’ll feel as if you are watching the game with the rest of
the supporters. It's a totally immersive experience that makes people feel incredibly
involved in what's going on." (Martin, 2008).And that means they will develop 3D
TV in the best way to help people to feel that they are in the real action that they
watch it and help them to enjoy their favorite films and programs. The scientists
guess that in 2016 more than seventy movies used three-dimensional technology
will be shown in the cinema and most marketing will see some new TV in the near
future (Hughes, 2014).
Conclusion
In conclusion, we can clearly see that the scientists work hard to provide us with a
new 3D TV that works in a better way than the past. I believe that if the people use
it in a right way they will benefit from this devices. Finally, the people should avoid
spending more than three hours each day in front of this device because they waste
their time, damaged their eyes and brain.
