Final Examination 1. Read carefully The Plastic Generation,” .docx
1. Final Examination
1. Read carefully “The Plastic Generation,” Jensen Edwards’s
interview with Douglas Coupland, one of Canada’s most
celebrated artists and writers. Jot down a few notes/annotations
as you read, especially the ideas that strike a chord with you
and speak to your own understanding of the function and
purpose of art.
Note: You will not submit your notes. Those are to help you
with #2 (see below).
- You may find it here:
https://www.canadiangeographic.ca/article/douglas-coupland-
dark-side-plastic
2. Using your notes, compose an extended annotation that:
(1) summarizes the major ideas/thesis posited by Coupland
(2) offers an insightful commentary on those ideas.
*Length: 500 -1000 words
3. Once you write your annotation, create a citation for the
interview/article (MLA or APA format – your choice) and place
your annotation with the citation.
4. Your final product will be an annotated bibliography with
this single source.
