Final Cut Pro was a relatively intuitive video editing software with simple controls for basic editing. However, it had some issues including being unable to import footage from external or network drives, lacking precise control when zoomed in, not showing manual save options or indications that the project had saved, and having limited export file types and options. While the software was useful, these issues were irritating to the user and they questioned why Final Cut Pro was considered the best editing software.
If you’re new to mobile usability testing, fear not. It is not as hard as you might think but there are some key differences to testing a traditional website in a lab that you need to be aware of.
These slides are from a presentation by Tania Lang at the Designing for Mobility Conference in Melbourne on March 1, 2013. The talk outlined 10 things about mobile testing tools, technologies and methods that we have learnt from testing everything from a Quit smoking app with a woman whilst breastfeeding her 5 week old on her sofa, to testing a mobile car insurance website in a lab.
This talk is for anyone who wants to conduct usability testing on their mobile site or app and will focus on methods, tools and technologies. It draws on experiences and lessons learnt from testing mobile sites and apps over the last year including a public transport journey planner, a mobile insurance website and a mobile app to help pregnant women quit smoking.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

2. FINAL CUT PRO:
A USEFUL TOOL
This is the software we used to edit the film. It is developed
by Apple and exclusive for Macs, so ties in to the argument
discussed previously.
The software was relatively intuitive and user friendly, with
simple controls for basic editing which worked well, and
convenient keyboard shortcuts for more complex
requirements. It has many very useful functions and is a very
powerful editing program, with intuitive controls for
newcomers, though some more complex functions were
harder to find. Overall, it was easy to learn and did the job
well.
3. FINAL CUT PRO:
SOME SMALL ISSUES
However, I did have some issues, some more major than
others. Firstly, the program was unable to import footage
from external or network drives. This meant that to get
footage from the SD card in the camera into Final Cut, we
would have to copy it all onto the hard drive and import it
from there (copying it again). This made for a laborious
process of importing footage.
4. FINAL CUT PRO:
SOME SMALL ISSUES
It also had some problems with precise control when zoomed
in. As I discussed in my construction blog, much of my input
in the editing process was involving precise details, like
speeding individual movements up and aligning clips. This
involved precision down to the individual frame. I used the
blade tool to cut the clips, but the blade tool would highlight
one frame, but would not indicate if it would cut before or
after that frame. I found this very irritating, as it meant that I
would often cut before or after I meant to, sometimes two or
three times before getting it right.
5. FINAL CUT PRO:
SOME SMALL ISSUES
I also had problems with saving the project. The software
saved it automatically, but showed no signs of it and had no
option for manual save, so I had no idea where my project
was saved or if it had saved at all. I dislike that control being
taken away from me.
I also found exporting the project inconvenient, since the
option to export directly to YouTube didn't work and there
were very limited options for file types (all those available
were Apple's own formats which aren't supported by much
non-Apple software) and few render/export controls like
colour/audio encoding, frame rate, resolution, etc.
6. FINAL CUT PRO:
NEGATIVITY
While I do realise that I am largely focusing on negatives
here, these things irritate me and do stick out, particularly
given that each of these things would be simple to fix (basic
import functions, simple UI feedback, simple export options
and standard file types), and I have been told so often that
this is the best way to edit. I went into this experience
looking for the reason that this was as brilliant as I had been
told, and I found nothing. Editing was good on a Mac, user
friendly and intuitive, but not any better than on a PC.
