,India is the largest producer of oilseeds in the world and oilseed sector occupies an important position in the agricultural economy of the country. Oilseeds are among the major crops that are grown in the country apart from cereals. In terms of acreage, production and economic value, these crops are second only to foodgrains. India is the fifth largest vegetable oil economy in the world, next only to USA, China, Brazil and Argentina, and has an annual turnover of about Rs 80000 crore. India accounts for 12-15 per cent of oilseeds area, 7-8 per cent of oilseeds production, 6-7 per cent of vegetable oils production, 9-12 per cent of vegetable oils import and 9-10 per cent of the edible oils consumption.
India is the largest producer of oilseeds in the world. Oilseeds occupy an important position in India's agriculture, though yields are low. The country now imports nearly half of its annual edible oil consumption of 168 million tonnes due to a growing demand-supply gap. Major constraints on domestic oilseed production include low productivity, small farm sizes, lack of variety development, and crop shifts away from oilseeds. The import and export of oilseeds contributes Rs. 65,000 crore to the Indian economy annually.

Rice is a major industry and export in Pakistan. It is the 4th largest rice producer globally and rice exports earn 13% of Pakistan's foreign exchange. Punjab and Sindh are the top rice producing provinces. While production has increased in recent years, post-harvest losses remain high. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor aims to boost trade and investment, including for the rice sector, by improving infrastructure connectivity between the countries. To further develop the rice industry, Pakistan needs strategies like increasing exports, expanding production capacity, improving quality control and attracting more foreign investment.
Microeconomics - An Overview of the Rice Commodity in Pakitanmegasheeki
Rice is one of the most important crops globally and in Pakistan. It is a staple food for over half the world's population. In Pakistan, rice production has decreased significantly from 6,883 thousand tons in 2009-10 to 4,823 thousand tons in 2010-11, a decrease of 29.9%. The imposition of a 17% sales tax on agricultural inputs could further decrease rice productivity and GDP growth from agriculture in Pakistan. Rice plays an important economic and cultural role in Pakistan as a major staple food and export.

Imports of pakistan & its impact on economyAyaz Masood
Pakistan imports far exceed its exports, contributing significantly to its trade deficit. Its top imports are refined petroleum, crude petroleum, palm oil, and scrap vessels from countries like the UAE, China, and Saudi Arabia. Machinery, automobiles, iron and steel, and crude oil also constitute major imports. Reducing imports and establishing domestic supply chains could help Pakistan utilize more of its natural resources to boost local industry and economic opportunities.
The document provides an overview of Pakistan's food industry, including production levels and exports/imports of major food commodities such as wheat, rice, sugar, edible oils, fruits and vegetables, meat, and dairy. It notes that Pakistan has significant potential to increase food production through improved cultivation practices and infrastructure for storage and transportation. However, problems remain such as post-harvest losses, lack of processing capabilities, and insufficient storage facilities that limit exports. The food industry represents a major sector of Pakistan's economy but faces challenges in realizing its full potential.

Agriculture is a vital sector of Pakistan's economy, accounting for 21.4% of GDP and employing nearly half of the workforce. Major agricultural products include cotton, wheat, rice, sugarcane, fruit, vegetables, milk, beef, and poultry. Agriculture provides raw materials to industry, stimulates domestic demand, and generates income in rural areas where most Pakistanis live. However, problems like water shortages, poor irrigation, lack of funds, and outdated farming practices present challenges to the sector.
Pakistan has natural resources that are important for its economy, but it faces challenges utilizing them effectively. It has significant coal, natural gas, and uranium reserves that could be used for energy production. However, Pakistan has issues providing steady power to industries due to energy shortages. It also has water resources for agriculture, which accounts for 18.9% of GDP, but water availability is decreasing. Improving infrastructure for sustainable use and distribution of natural resources could boost Pakistan's economy.
The document summarizes Pakistan's dairy and livestock export potential. It notes that the livestock sub-sector contributes over 50% to agricultural GDP and discusses various policies and projects to promote the dairy sector, including investment in milk processing facilities, dairy cooperatives, and dairy development projects. It also analyzes factors supporting dairy competitiveness, including low production costs compared to other countries and growing domestic and foreign demand for milk products. Recommendations include strengthening small-scale dairy production, protecting local markets from subsidized imports, improving breeding and extension services, and promoting cooperatives.
Shaping export friendly policies for Poultry industry of PakistanDanish Ilyas
This document discusses Pakistan's poultry industry. It notes that the poultry sector contributes significantly to Pakistan's agriculture GDP and employment. Some key facts presented include that Pakistan's poultry industry is worth over 1 trillion rupees annually and employs over 1.5 million people. Per capita meat and egg consumption in Pakistan is lower than international standards. The document also outlines several issues facing the poultry industry, such as high production and export costs. It concludes with recommendations to address these issues like reducing taxes, providing export subsidies, and considering industrial needs in trade agreements.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
