2. During our film day i believe that thing went well and my
group and i worked together as a team to create an
effective teaser trailer. During the day we used all 3 of
the shot list, filming schedule and the storyboard.
However some things were changed during the day
due to time and wanting to make things look realistic.
For example because we didn't have enough blood. So
the shot of abby hanging from the trees consisted of
her just hanging with no blood it still looked good
however viewers maybe think she is hanging from it
for fun instead of creating a eerie atmosphere. We also
cut the part with the trees that have blood on it as we
couldn't focus the camera well enough and get enough
fake blood to make it look real. We also cut out the
part of one of the girls being dragged on the floor, as
we felt that the footage we already got was enough
and the floor was too wet to be dragged across. From
the storyboard and shot list there is a shot of one of
the girls back being faced away from the camera to
show she is possessed. this leads int to the last shot of
one of the girls saying ‘its coming for you too’ and then
the demon strangles her, we felt that it wouldn't fit
well together and though it fits well in the conventions
for a horror we felt that we could have done better
with another shot. The footage we got altogether fit
well to create an effective teaser trailer. These
documents helps us stay on track and not lose where
we were. It helped us keep time of how long we
should take in each shot.
The two photos shown on the either side is us setting
us for our first scene (YouTube scene). This was abby
setting up the tripod and putting it at the right angle
so we can put the camera on it. Simon is talking to
Jermone and is giving him tips on how to use the
camera better.
3. Problems that we faced during
the day was the shot with abby
walking away from the camera
while being filmed from holly’s
camera. This was difficult as we
had to make sure abby was in
the same position as before and
make sure she said the same
thing in one camera as the other
and then we put the footage
together it looks and sounds
good. Another probably we
faced was when the girls were
pretending to walk with the
camera. we had to make it look
like their were holding it but
make the footage look smooth
and slick. Another problem was
making the area we were in
seem like it is night time. this
was hard as it was still day light.
so we got a coat and got a
flashlight to make it seem like it
was nighttime.
These two photos shown above shows. Abby setting up the tent for
next shot we were going film. The scenery made the tent look apart
of the trailer and it looked realistic. In the next photo is holly and
abby siting acting the youtube scene. Jerome is filming and I'm
directing the girls making sure that they are saying they lines and look
good.
4. I believed what went well was the
youtube scenes as i believed
that it looked really realistic.
The use of having lighting mad
ether whole piece come
together. Another thing was
when abby walked away and i
saw standing behind the tent, it
looked creepy and portray the
horror elements of our film
well. The use of holly running
away from me with the camera
in her hand looked really
realistic and having a close up
allows the audience to see her
facial expressions. I liked the
use of an extreme close up of
my eyes opening as this creates
tension and will hopeful engage
the audience. My role during
filming consisted of playing the
villain ( demon) as well as
helping film with jerome,
making sure that the footage
looks good. i yelled cut and told
where the girl what to film
next. at the end of filming i was
able to take photos of the girls
for magazine cover.
These two photos feature Jerome and abby looking back at the footage
making sure it looks good and d whether we should do it again or not.
The other photo is abby getting ready to swing so that it looked liked
she is hanging from the tree. Me and Jerome were filming and getting
the right angle.
5. This day helped me a lot
as i was able help see how
hand help camera shots
are hard to do if you are
shaking a lot. i used my
leadership skills to direct
the girls and make sure
they look good in the
camera. I was able to look
back at the footage and
see what shots we had to
film again. I made sure we
had a time limit on certain
shots and focused on the
longs ones first to get
them out of the way. I was
also able to develop my
skills infront of the camera
as well as behind. I was
able to see what it takes
to makes a teaser trailer in
deeper depth and see it
isn't easy. as shots have to
be perfect and not give
too much as it is just a
trailer.
This is the makeup holly did on both me and Abby for our scenes. This
made it look realistic and will hopeful engage the audience to have them
on the edge of their seats. I wore dark heavy makeup to give a scary look
and come across like a demon whereas abby had a more hurt look where
someone has been camping.
