2. Rock sample #1metamorphic- I believe this is a metamorphic rock. Ti was found in an area near my home. This area has a lot of sand and trees, very forest looking. There is also a river that runs through it and a small lake. The rocks here all look very similar here so it was difficult to find different types. this looks like schist. It resembles the picture in the book a lot. It is course grained and looks like it has dark minerals.

3. Sedimentary rockSample #2-I believe this is a sedimentary rock. I'm not positive but it looks to me like limestone. There were not any pictures in the book that resembled it but this rock is said to be the most abundant and that explains why there was so much of it in the area that I was searching. I found this rock in the same area that I found the metamorphic rock.

4. Igneous rockSample #3These rocks were both found at a campsite that I was recently at. I found them near a large lake. There were large boulders that resembled the granite rock picture in the text.I believe both of these rocks are Felsic (granitic) rocks. The one on the left looks like a Paneritic(course grained) rock. The one on the right looks like a aphaniticAndesite rock.
