so much of it goes into social security?? If

you working, which means you aren’t
getting any credit that will go towards your
retirement.
S Check out the benefits of Social Security
3. Retirement Income
S Social Security is based on the plan that while you work
you pay taxes into the Social Security system. So that
when you retire you will be eligible to collect an income.
S Remember that Social Security is meant to supplement
your retirement income and not be your only source of
retirement income. It is never too early to start planning
for your retirement.
4. Disabled People
S If you can't work because you have a disability, you are essentially forced
into retirement. Unfortunately this is probably not the type of retirement
that you were planning on.
S Social Security Disability insurance pays you monthly benefits if you have
paid enough FICA taxes and you are not able to work for a year or more
due to your disability. Even if you are under the age of 65, Social Security
Disability allows you to receive Medicare.
S Social Security disability benefits can be paid to you at any age if you
have worked long enough and you have a severe physical disability or
mental impairment that prevents you from working for a year or more or if
you have a medical condition that is expected to result in your death.
5. Survivor Benefits
S If a spouse has a died the surviving spouse will receive
financial assistance..
S Dependent children – if a parent dies, the child will
receive benefits up to age 18 or 19 if still in high school.

insurance program that was established for people age
65 or older, people under the age of 65 with certain
