ACCORDING TO THE
 FOODS THEY EAT

ACCORDING TO THE
 MAJOR GROUPS
FOODS THEY EAT
   Eating is one of the
basic activities or one
of the strongest
feelings animals feel
and experience..
Through this, animals
need to get or find
food in order for them
to sustain their energy
and to be alive.
Herbivores
Carnivores
Omnivores
Animals are divided into two
 groups
a. Vertebrates
           b. invertebrates
Animals that have
backbones. Their
skeletons, called
endoskeletons, are found
inside their bodies. There are
five types:
mammals, birds, reptiles, amp
hibians, and fishes.
Animals without
backbones . They are
sponges, insects, arach
nids and spiny skinned
and hallow bodied
animals.
 These are the animals that
eat plants only. They are very
    abundant in the community. The
plants that they eat are being
converted to energy hat will be
stored in their body tissues for
    use
GOAT
Animals that only eat meat
are called carnivores. The
meat can be from other living
animals or animals that have
died. Many meat eaters hunt
the animals that they eat.
Sharks go after smaller fish.
PIG
BIRD
Mammals are all warm-
blooded. Another
characteristic of mammals is
that they give birth to a live
young.
             cow
Reptiles are
scaly animals that
lay eggs. They are
cold blooded. Many
reptiles move by
crawling or
creeping. ex.
Lizard, turtle, snak
Animals that can
live on land and
water. Amphibians
usually lay eggs in
water. They have
moist, tough skins.
Ex. Salamander
and frog
Birds are warm-
blooded, winged
animals. Most of
them can fly though
some cannot. They
are covered with
feathers.
this invertebrates are
joined-legged. They have
hard skeletons on the
outside of their bodies. Ex.
Cricket
,fly, scorpion, termite.
Annelids are often
called worms. One
common example is the
earthworm.
Earthworms have
segmented bodies.
Animals have structural
and behavioural forms of
adaptation to a particular
environment in order to protect
themselves, to get food and
survive.
