Britney Spears' "I Wanna Go" music video explores both feminist and post-feminist themes. In the video, men objectify Britney as she walks by, looking at her and taking photos without permission. However, Britney also exerts power and control over men. She refuses to answer personal questions, takes control of a police officer, and uses her microphone to protect herself from unwanted attention. The video portrays both the objectification of women but also a woman who is in charge and empowered.

2. Feminist
 The ways that the men are watching her as an attractive woman. The
ways that this is shown in the music video of “I wanna go” by Britney
spears include the way that the men are looking at her as she walks out
of the interview.
 How other people are looking at her like an object, this includes the
media asking her question that goes in deep with her personal life. The
way that everyone is looking at her and taking photo like is a type of
object shows the feminist side of the music video.

very attractive to man to
look at. For example like an
object, maybe what she is
wearing might be
attractive.

in with the idea of feminist as she is

“toy” that can be touched.

4. Britney wants people to look at her, as she sees a young police officer
she tries to attract him to look at her. Sexual power derived from
physical attractiveness to men. People are also very shocked when they
look at her as she is showing parts of her body, this shows the Feminist
side of the music video as people are mostly look at her with different
views. For example these include, shocked and attracted.

5. Men taking pictures of her every time and everywhere she goes showing the
feminist side as men looks at her like an object by talking pictures. This
shows that woman artist especially from men and other people point of view
are shown like an object us men force themselves to take pictures of her,
when she does not want others to take pictures of her.

6. Post-Feminist
 A boy running up to her to get her signature, making her famous and well known
person, as people recognise her easily, and wanting her signature. He is also finds her
very important as he is really happy to get her signature and meet Britney. This brings
in the idea of her being in charge and other people are excited to meet her.

7. Britney is in charge
One way that the music video shows that she is in charge is right at the beginning
where she did not want to answer anyone question and walks out. Showing the side of
post-feminist as it shows that she has the power of doing whatever she wants. Also
showing her strength of avoiding something that she does not feel comfortable
talking about, linking in with the idea of post – feminist.
