Duties: As the Headquarters Battalion and Facility Operations Chief for the Marine Corps Support
Facility in New Orleans, I am responsible for the coordination and conduct of all annual training
requirements for approximately 1350 Marines across the five major commands within Marine Forces
Reserve. Recognized as a subject matter expert with regard to all aspects of training and training
regulations, safety and security. Also, I have been assigned as the Facility Assistant Emergency

mentorship.
Coordinated and supervised all weapons qualification ranges conducted by Headquarters Battalion,
and logistically planned and supervised the movement of all weapons, gear, personnel and
ammunition to ranges throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Authored Memorandum of
Understanding between the Marine Corps Support Facility and Camp Shelby Army National Guard
Base for the use of live fire ranges to support annual training. Initiated and managed the facility’s
Respiratory Protection Program, within the guidelines set by the OSHA Respiratory Protection
Standard, to support 65 federal police officers assigned to the facility. Assisted with rewriting the
facility’s Emergency Operations Plan, Continuity of Operations Plan and the Installation’s
Emergency Management Program and re-wrote the Battalion’s Destructive Weather Order.
Coordinated with General Officer and Executive Level personnel to plan and conduct events with
both State of Louisiana and City of New Orleans officials. Selected to represent Marine Forces
Reserve on the Mayor of New Orleans board to eliminate veteran homelessness. Successfully
managed the Funeral Honors Platoon for 96 Marine veteran funerals in southeastern Louisiana and
south Mississippi.

of 200 to 500 Marines and Afghan soldiers over an area of operations of 200 square miles. Designed,

approximately $30 million dollars. Conducted two seven month deployments to Afghanistan within

personnel assigned, and their families, during the high tempo training and deployment schedule.
Mentored and managed the career development of approximately 200 Marines assigned to the

Duties: Produce personnel trained in ground operations and the setup, management, tear down and
transportation of a regimental or battalion Combat Operations Center. During this ten day formal
course, students are taught to prepare operations maps and maintain situation maps indicating
location, strength, tactical deployment and emplacements of friendly units. This force tracking is then
transferred to digital platforms utilizing software such as Command and Control Personal Computer
(C2PC) and the Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture (COP) Workstation (JTCW).Upon
graduation, Marines are awarded the secondary Military Occupational Specialty of 8711, Ground
Operations Specialist. Recognized within the community as the subject matter expert for all training
in regards to Command and Control Operations.
Upon assignment, I immediately began to update all curriculum for the course. Developed and
promulgated lesson plans, digital presentations, student handouts and practical exercises for assigned
periods of instruction. Responsible for the proper utilization of the course’s fiscal budget, facilities,
