1.1 Purpose 
Online bus ticket reservation system is web based application whose purpose is to provide a 
facility of reserving a seat from everywhere. 
1.2 Scope 
The details of the buses, price list and seats available are to be maintained and can be updated 
regularly. 
It also maintains the database that consists of the list of busses along with the five digit code that 
will be assigned to each bus for easy reference. 
Customer can reserve their seats. 
Can get the information of bus routes in this way you can reserved our seat according to your requirements. 
This software provides a facility of cancelation of seats and different types of enquiry which need an 
instant and quick reservation. 
There would be updates of cancellation of routes or any kind of problem .

2.2 Current Functional Procedures 
First of all open our web page. Our system is automated it provides the facility to login our 
system then after that fill in the required form. After filling the requirements you will be able to 
reserve the desire seat. Provided that, you will go to organization for the payment of the seat, 
otherwise it will be cancelled. 
2.3 Functional Objectives 
This service will be new for any transport company. It will help full their marketing terms. 
Company can claim in their advertisement that they are providing online reservation system to 
save your time. It will also help full for the company to make decision related to increment in the 
number of buses, expand their routes, or other statistical decision. 
2.4 Performance Objectives 
It will increase the performance of company’s Customer relationship management (CRM) 
department. It will also decrease their labor which were higher for the seats reservation. Company 
have no need to open reservation center in every cities. As a result company’s Operating Cost will 
decreased. 
2.5 Assumptions and Constraints 
In starting company have to market their new service of online reservation. There might be 
possible that customer will not prefer through online reservation. Company have to take customer 
in confidence that this service is introduced only for their benefit. Information provided by the 
Customer will wrong. Your online Server will downed. In this case customer can reserve their 
seats through telephone or mobile call. 
2.6 Methodology 
At early stages company should introduced discount strategy on every online reservation of seats 
for the specific period of time. In this period of time customer will interacted through the 
atmosphere of online reservation and give their feedback. We can make changes in our system by 
using customer’s feedback. 
2.7 Evaluation Criteria 
It will be low cost for the transport company and decrease the company’s Operation Cost.

Registration form will be available for the user to enter their information. This information will be stored in 
online hosting database. Administrator will check the all reservation.

After introducing web base portal service, we will introduce mobile base application for Seat reservation 
system.
