Task : How To Setup A Staging Duration :
Objective : To ensure you able to set a staging according to the standard
Task Breakdown
STEP (How) STANDARD EQUIPMENT
REQUIRED
1. Select staging • Ensure the carpet is clean & dry
• No tears
• Frame
1. Rubber studs for the legs are intact
2. mechanism and wheel of stage are in
good working condition
3. Velcro strips for skirting are intact
• Depending on the requirement of the
client how may piece is needed
Stage
2. Select the skirting • Ensure well pressed
• No tears
• Velcro strips are still intact
Skirting
3. Push the stage • Ensure the pathway to designated are
clear
• The directional wheels of the staging
should be in front
• Maintain contact with direction or
movement
• Move a brisk walking pace
Stage
4. Align the stage • Do not push but instead pull the trolley
• Exercise care
5. Open the stage • Stand square to the side of the stage
• Open the stage with release the latch
• Open stage by pulling hard on the frame
of the stage with our right hand and using
our left hand as support
• Ease the drop of the stage
• Proceed with other side
6. Make final adjustment • Lift stage and make small movements to
adjust the alignments
• Ensure sides of staging are flushed with
each other
• Allow 6 inches from the wall
• Take into consideration of pillars
7. Adjust stage level • Done by manipulate stage by rotating the
rubber studs in order to adjust to desired
level
8. Secure staging together • When the stage is used for activities that
involve large movements
• Use kitchen cords or marking tape to
secure the legs together
9. Check stability • By stand on the stage and create as much
movement with to body to check stability
• Ensure all defect are recertified
10. Skirt the • Start from on end of the stage
• Secure on the stage of Velcro strips
• Ensure the stop skirting in line with the
edge of the skirting
• Drop of skirting is as per standard laid
down
11. Set the equipment on
stage
• Ensure all request on the event order to
be set and ready for client to use
• Check on the final layout & verify with
requirement on the event order
