This long document is from God speaking to a person experiencing anxiety and despair, offering comfort and encouragement from numerous Bible verses. God promises to be a help, strength, refuge, and comfort for the person, and that through faith in Him one can have peace even in troubles or trials. God assures the person of His love and that He will never leave or forsake them.

1. Fathers answer to anxiety and despair

2. My beloved child, this word is for you when your heart is heavy, when your bewildered and depressed, anxious and distressed for surely ‘heaviness in the heart of man makes it stoop: but a good word makes it glad’ (Proverbs 12:25) let me therefore bring you a good word… ‘A word in season’ (Timothy 4:2)

3. I am the Lord your God, my word is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:122)

4. ‘ My word is a lamp unto your feet, and a light unto your path’ (Psalm 119:105) therefore hide them in your heart that you might not sin against me (Psalm 119:1)

5. ‘ Delight yourself in my statutes: do not forget my word’ (Psalm 119:16) for ‘they are life to those that find them and health to all their flesh’ (Proverbs 4:22)

6. ‘ Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful but his delight shall be in the law of the Lord. He that meditates in my law day and night shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever they do shall prosper’ (Psalm 1:1-3)

7. Be assured that ‘I am your shepherd; you shall not want, I make you to lie down in green pastures, I lead you beside the still waters’ I am he that ‘restores your soul, I will lead you in the paths of righteousness for my own name’s sake’ (Psalm 23)

8. ‘ Yes, though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, fear no evil: for I am with you, my rod and my staff will comfort you’ (Psalm 23)

9. It is I who ‘prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies, Indeed I am he that anoints your head with oil; your cup runs over’ ‘ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life: and you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever’ (Psalm 23)

10. As ‘one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you and you shall be comforted’ (Isaiah 66:13) ‘This is your comfort in affliction: for my word has quickened (and revived) you’ (Psalm 119:50)

11. Have I not promised that ‘I shall increase your greatness, and comfort you on every side’ (Psalm 71:2) ‘Am I not ‘the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort… (2 Corinthians 1:3)

12. I am he that came ‘to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness (misery, destruction and sorrow) out of the prison house. (Isaiah 42:7)

13. Consider that in me ‘you have a high priest which can be touched with the feeling of your infirmities; indeed I was in all points tempted like as you are, yet without sin’ (Hebrews 4:15) ‘come boldly therefore unto the throne of grace, that you may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need’ (Hebrews 4:16)

14. Seeing I ‘spared not my own Son, but delivered him up for you all, how shall I not with him also freely give you all things’? (Romans 8:32)

15. ‘ Who shall separate you from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35) No, my beloved child, ‘in all these things you are more than conquerors through him that loved you’ (Romans 8:37)

16. ‘ Be persuaded then, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come’ ‘nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate you from my love, which is in Christ Jesus your Lord’ (Romans 8:38-39)

17. I am the Lord your God ‘your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble’ (Psalm 46:1)

18. Therefore do not fear, ‘though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea’ ‘though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof’ (Psalm 46: 2-3) simply ‘be still and know that I am God’ (Psalm 46:10)

19. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto me your God, and my peace, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6 -7)

20. ‘ I am the Lord, I go before you; I will be with you, I will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not neither be dismayed’ (Deuteronomy 31:8) instead ‘cast all your care upon me for I care for you’ (1Peter 5:7)

21. My child, my redeemed, ‘Forget not all my benefits, I am he who forgives all your iniquities; the Lord ‘who heals all your diseases; I redeem your life from destruction; I crown you with loving kindness and tender mercies and satisfy your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:2-5)

22. ‘ Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen; I will be exalted in the earth’ (Psalm 46:10) ‘Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on, life is more than meat, and the body is more than clothes’ (Luke 12:22-24)

23. Come now ‘consider the ravens, ‘consider the lilies, ‘If then I so clothe the grass which is today in the field and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will I clothe you, O you of little faith? (Luke 12:27-28)

24. Beloved, ‘whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.’ (Philippians 4:6-8)

25. I am ‘the Lord your keeper: the Lord your shade upon your right hand’ ‘the sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night’ for I ‘the Lord shall preserve you from all evil: I shall preserve your soul’ I ‘shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore’ (Psalm 121:5-8)

26. ‘ Fear not; for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name you are mine; ‘When thou pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when thou walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you’ (Isaiah 43:1-2)

27. ‘ I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior’ (Isaiah 43:3) ‘and beside me there is no Savior’ (Isaiah 43:11)

28. My precious redeemed child, ‘lift up your eyes unto the hills, from whence comes your help, your help comes from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. I will not allow your foot to be moved: I will neither slumber nor sleep’ (Psalm 121:1-4)

29. Therefore; ‘lie down in peace, and sleep: for I am the Lord who makes you to dwell in safety’ (Psalm 4:8) ‘I will keep you in perfect peace, as your mind is stayed on me because you trust in me’ (Isaiah 26:30

30. ‘ Trust in me ‘the Lord forever: for in the me the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength’ (Isaiah 26:4) It is I the ‘God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost’ (Romans 15:13)

31. I am the ‘Lord who blesses you and keeps you, I make my face shine upon you, and I am gracious unto you I lift up my countenance upon you, and give you peace’ (Numbers 6:24-26) indeed ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. (John 14:27)

32. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid’ (John 14:27) ‘these things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world’ (John 16:33)

33. I am your God so ‘let my peace rule in your hearts, to which also you are called in one body; and be you, thankful’ (Colossians 3:15)

34. ‘ Therefore being justified by faith, you have peace with me through your Lord Jesus Christ’ ‘by him also you ‘have access by faith into this grace wherein you stand, and rejoice in hope of my glory’ (Romans 5:1-2)

35. ‘ Glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation works patience; patience, experience; and experience, hope’ Truly my beloved ‘hope makes not ashamed; because my love is shed abroad in your hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto you’ (Romans 5:3-5)

36. ‘ Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? (Isaiah 58:6)

37. ‘ Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh? (Isaiah 58:7)

38. ‘ Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rearward’ (Isaiah 58:8)

39. ‘ Then shall you call, and I the Lord shall answer; you shall cry, and I shall say, here I am. If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity’ (Isaiah 58:9)

40. Remember my servant ‘Job whose former prosperity I restored when he prayed for his friends, indeed he received twice as much as before when he prayed for his friends’ (Job 42:10) have I not said ‘give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over’ (Luke 6:38)

41. ‘ Why then is your soul cast down? And why are disquieted within? Hope in me your God, praise the Lord for I am the health of your countenance, and you’re God’ (Psalm 43:5) wait ‘patiently for me; for I have inclined unto you, and have heard your cry’

42. I will bring ‘you up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set your feet upon a rock, and established your goings’ I will put a new song in your mouth, even praise unto me: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:2-3)

43. ‘ Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness’ (Isaiah 41:10) therefore you are my witnesses, that I am God’ (Isaiah 43:12)

44. Yes, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? (Isaiah 43:13)

45. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you’ But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13)

46. Therefore ‘Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord’ ‘Whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks by him. (Colossians 3:16 -17)

47. ‘ My divine power has given unto you all things that pertain unto life and godliness; through the knowledge of him that hath called you to glory and virtue’ I have ‘given unto you exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of my divine nature’ (2Peter 1:3-4)

48. Tell me ‘can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you’ ‘Behold, I have graven you upon the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me’ (Isaiah 49:15-16)

49. ‘ Though you walk in the midst of trouble, I will revive you: I shall stretch forth my hand against the wrath of your enemies, and my right hand shall save you’ (Psalm 138:7) ‘I alone am your rock and your salvation: I am your defense; you shall not be moved’ ‘your refuge, is in me your God’ (Psalm 62:6-7)

50. I ‘the Lord shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not’ (Isaiah 58:11)

51. ‘ When you cry unto me, then shall your enemies turn back: for I am for you’ (Psalm 56:9) ‘I am for you who then can be against you’ ( Romans 8:31)

52. Am I not ‘God your strength and power: I make your way perfect’ indeed ‘I am he that makes your feet like hinds' feet: and sets you upon my high places’ (2 Samuel 22:33-34)

53. In me you may boldly declare, ‘The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me’ (Hebrews 13:6)

54. Beloved ‘it is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for my salvation’ (Lamentations 3:26) for I give power (ability, might, wealth) to the faint, (the exhausted and the weary) and to them that have no might, (wealth or ability) I increase strength (and abundance) (Isaiah 40:29)

55. They that wait upon me shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

56. Have I not declared, ‘according to my abundant mercy I have begotten you again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you’ (1Peter 1:3-4)

57. ‘ You are kept by my power through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations’ (1Peter 1:5-6)

58. ‘ The trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ’ (1 Peter 1:7)

59. I am the Lord who will perfect that which concerns you: my mercy, endures forever: I will not forsake the works of my own hands. (Psalm 138:8)

60. Let your conversation be without covetousness (or greed) and be content with such things as you have: for I have said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

61. It is for the sake of my mercies that you are not consumed, because my compassions fail not. Indeed ‘they are new every morning: for great is my faithfulness’ (Lamentations 3:22-23) Remember always ‘weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning’ (Psalm 30:5)

62. Have I not declared that ‘There hath no temptation (experience, adversity) taken (seized) you but such as is common to man: but I your God am faithful, who will not suffer (allow) you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear (endure) it. (1Corinthians 10:13)

63. Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of my throne (Hebrews 12:2)

64. ‘Consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds. (Hebrews 12:3)

65. ‘ It is I who knows your wanderings: I am he that puts your tears into my bottle: are they not in my book? (Psalm 56:8) indeed ‘I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end’ (Jeremiah 29:11)

66. ‘Fear not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold (and keep) you with the right hand of my righteousness’ (Isaiah 41:10)

67. ‘ Fear not I will help you’ ( Isaiah 41:13) Before the day was I am he and there is none that can deliver out of my hand’ (Hebrews 43:13)

68. I am the ‘Lord your lamp, and I am he that ‘will lighten your darkness’ (2Samuel 22:29) and you ‘shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart’ (Jeremiah 29:13)

69. Remember that ‘I even I am he that blots out your transgressions for mine own sake and will not remember your sins’ (Isaiah 43:25) for ’I love you even as I loved my only begotten Son’ (John 17:23)

70. It is written, ‘Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him’ (1Corinthians 2:9)

71. Therefore ‘ remember you not the former things, neither consider the things of old’ (Isaiah 43:18) For behold, ‘I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert’ (Isaiah 43:19) in which you find yourself.

72. Have I not declared ‘in my house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you’ Have I not promised ‘and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:2-3)

73. So, ‘rejoice and again I say rejoice’ Philippians 4:4 ‘with joy unspeakable and full of glory’ (1Peter 1:8) for ‘I have delivered you from the powers of darkness and have translated (carried) you into the kingdom of my dear Son’ (Colossians 1:13)

74. ‘In him you have redemption (salvation, deliverance) through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins’ (Colossians 1:14)

75. ‘I have made peace through the blood of my cross to reconcile all things to myself’ (Colossians 1:20) and I will ‘present you holy and faultless and blameless in my sight’ (Colossians 1:22)

76. You ‘are complete in me for I am the head of all principality and power’ (Colossians 2:10) ‘I have blotted out the handwriting of ordinances (the law) that was against you, which was contrary (opposed) to you and took it out of the way nailing it to my cross’ (Colossians 2:14)

77. My beloved child, ‘in every thing give thanks: for this is my will in Christ Jesus concerning you’ (1Thessalonians 5:18)

78. ‘Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto me your God’ ‘and my peace, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:6-7)

79. ‘Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, you righteous: and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart’ (Psalm 32:1) Oh ‘Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven’ (Matthew 5:12) ‘Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof’ (Psalm 96:11)

80. ‘I am he that lived, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death’ (Revelation 1:18) I have the key to your health, your prosperity, your every need, I have the key to every prison of despair, every trial and every tribulation’

81. ‘Come unto me, all you that labour (all that are weary) and are heavy laden (overburdened), and I will give you rest, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls’ For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light’ (Matthew 11:28-30)

Perhaps you have never asked Christ to be your Lord and saviour, if so, you truly need his forgiveness and his salvation, why not ask him to save you and to give you life eternal; pray something after this manner…. Heavenly Father; I confess that I am a sinner and ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus, your Son, died on the cross to pay the consequences, the penalty for all my sins. Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that God raised you from the dead so please come into my life be my Saviour and my Lord, help me to become the person you want me to be and to live always for you. Holy Spirit please come and fill me with the knowledge of Christ, thank you Lord for your forgiveness and for your assurance that I will spend eternity with you in heaven forever. Amen. Now go tell someone what Christ has done for you, and rejoice………
