Teacher-researcher, Annet El-Hajj, creates Garden at school to provide students with opportunities to grow plants

2. Climate
Knowing about the climate or weather patterns
helps farmers plan ahead. Since we can still
have frost in March in Fletcher Hills, we started
the seeds for our salsa garden indoors. Because
it gets cold in our classroom on weekends, we
used warming pads, mini greenhouses, and peat
pods. We are planning to plant outdoors later
this month.

We planted tomatoes,
jalapeño peppers, green
onions and cilantro seeds on
February 17th 2017. My
team planted the Green
Onion. Today the tallest
green onion plant is 8 1/2
centimeters.
