TYPES OF FAMILIES
There are three types of families: nuclear, joint and three generation families
● Nuclear Family: A nuclear family is a family which consists of husband, wife and their unmarried children. The size of nuclear family is
very small. It is an autonomous unit. There is no control of the elders because newlyweds create a separate residence for themselves which is
independent of elders. It is also known as primary
● Three generation family : multigenerational family households where two or more adult generations live together under the
same roof
● Joint family : A joint family is a form of family that consists of two or more generations from the same paternal or maternal
line that shares a home and lives together. It's a form of extended family that consists of two or more parents and their children
that live together.
Out of the 20 families we found that
14 families were nuclear families , 3
families were joint families and 3
families were three generation
families

EMPLOYEMENT AND INCOME
Generally, the nutrition intake or the quality of food
depends on the income that an earner in a family
earns through employment which may be in the form
of job or in his own business. Its obvious that the
person whose income is very less, he can’t feed a
properly balanced to his family whereas if the income
is ample or good enough then one can feed his family
with good food that will play a major role in the
health of any ember of the family. In remote areas,
the opportunities of employment is very less. One
can’t earn an exorbitant amount of money but still a
medium quality of life can be lead in those areas.
