HISTORY OF FAMILY WELFARE PROGRAMME • It was started in the year 1951. • In 1977, the government of India redesignated the NATIONAL FAMILY PLANNING PROGRAMME as the NATIONAL FAMILY WELFARE PROGRAMME also changed the name of the ministry of health and family planning to ministry of health and family welfare.

Family Planning • Family planning allows individuals and couples to anticipate and attain their desired number of children and the spacing and timing of their births. • It is achieved through use of contraceptive methods and the treatment of involuntary infertility. • A woman’s ability to space and limit her pregnancies has a direct impact on her health and well-being as well as on the outcome of each pregnancy
- 4. HISTORY Family planning in our country was started in 1952. In 2011 a family welfare program was launched across the country which has led to many achievement.
- 5. METHOD OF FAMILY PLANNING 1) Condom (detention ) 2) Contraceptive pill 3) Contraceptive injection 4) Vasectomy 5) Gynecology duct captive
- 7. ADVANTAGES OF FAMILY PLANNING • Many of its benefits are that family planning does not put members, internal burden on the family. • Having a limited amount of children of allows them to follow well. • Children get nutrients. • Get on opportunity to go to school. • Mother health is also good with family planning.

DISADVANTAGE OF FAMILY PLANNING • Whereas families who do not adopt planning have poor economic condition. • Such families neither make a good home. • Neither is able to take care of children. • Women who give birth to children every year. • It has a bad effect on this health. • While having more children, they are not maintained properly.
- 10. PROBLEMS IN FAMILY PLANNING Even today the country needs a strong family planning program. We have not had complete success yet. There are many obstacles in family planning. Poor class families want more children.

- 12. CONCLUSION • Given the huge population of the country, it is responsibility of every female man to adopt family planning. • Only then will our country be able to move forward on the path of development and prosperity.
