 Establish national and international
competencies and provide leadership in select
educational areas connected to the regional

accomplish it, we will not be here? It will make
us irrelevant or put us out of existence? What
is the “gradually boiling water” for NMC?

          Learner Success
 “What do you do?”

 The answer I want from each of you is …

 “I’m helping our learners
    succeed!”
 An awareness of the “radical transformations” that are
    occurring
 A sense that you can make a difference – every day
 A belief that “it’s not about you…but it is”
 A commitment to ask “what (what else) can I do to
    help?”
 A tolerance that lets us ask and address “hard and
    uncomfortable issues”
 A recognition that we are doing good work and
    accomplishing important results
 An appreciation for all that your colleagues and our
communities do to help our learners succeed
 A sense of urgency
