Murrays Pharmacy is a leading award winning

and health centre locations. We employ over 230 staff

We’ve launched a range of innovative and affordable
services aimed at improving community health, such as
Healthy Living Pharmacy, NHS Health Check, Blood
Pressure Monitoring and Dosettes, Weight
Management, Alcohol Screening Services, Smoking
Cessation, Mobility Aids, Flu Vaccinations and Travel
Medicines/Advice.

4. NHS Health Checks
NHS Health Checks: Are you
between 40 and 74 years of age,
and not already seeing your GP
with diabetes or a heart or kidney
condition, then you may be
entitled to a FREE! Health Check on
the NHS. The service is identical to
the one that may be provided at
your GP Surgery, and is carried out
by our trained staff in the privacy
of our consultation room at the
pharmacy.

5. Medicine Use Reviews
All of our pharmacies (except the
online pharmacy) offer a free
Medicines Check Up on the NHS.
This is an opportunity for you to
sit down and have a confidential
chat with our Pharmacist about
your medicines. You will have a
chance to find out what your
medicines do and to discuss any
concerns you may have.

6. Pregnancy Testing Service
All of our pharmacies offer a
Pregnancy Testing Service for a
small fee, which is displayed to
the right. This is a strictly
private and confidential
service which is carried out by
trained staff, who can
signpost/refer you to other
health professionals.

7. Needle Syringe Exchange
Services
Murrays now offer a Needle
Syringe Exchange Services from a
number of our pharmacies. This
is a discreet service, where
service users can obtain packs
and return used sharps to the
pharmacy. It is intended to
reduce the need for
reusing/sharing needles and the
risk to health associated with
such practices.

8. Travel Medicines/Advice
Going abroad on holiday or
business? Contact your local
Murrays Healthcare pharmacy for
advice on whether you’re entering a
Malarial Zone or not (at Murrays,
our records are kept regularly up-
to-date). One souvenir of your trip
you don’t want to bring back is
…..Malaria, following a bite from an
