The Twenty-First Century Information Access course, BUSA 1100, was conceived as a way of helping Professional Studies students gain the information literacy skills described in the Association of College and Research Libraries’ Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. This document identifies five standards, each with corresponding performance indicators and outcomes, that served as a model for the objectives and outcomes of the course.
