- Canadian For Canadian and international researchers alike, FACETS is the first Canadian multidisciplinary open access science journal. As an international journal, FACETS will showcase Canadian research, in English or French, to a global audience. Unlike its competitors, FACETS accepts APCs in Canadian dollars for researchers in Canada, and for a limited time APCs will be waived for all authors. FACETS leverages the Canadian tradition of the highest quality of scientific publishing with an international reach and reputation for excellence Choice FACETS provides a much needed choice for researchers in their publication options. FACETS publishes a broad range of article types and will consider both positive and negative results. This variety yields a greater diversity of published research and ultimately increases the dissemination of critical research. For researchers, FACETS provides a trusted open access channel that strictly adheres to the requirements of Canadian and international funders. Community Researchers can contribute to global conversations by publishing in FACETS’ integrative science section that includes research on science communication, policy, education, society, conservation and sustainability, ethics, and public health. FACETS was developed in consultation with the community; Canadian Science Publishing believes that a healthy scientific publishing community results in better submissions, publications, and ultimately science. For that reason, Canadian Science Publishing provides support for societies and works to develop strategic partnerships within the scientific community. For authors who want to make their research available to the widest network of readers, FACETS is the Canadian option.

- Many institutions have author funds to support their researchers who wish to publish as open access – check with your librarian to see if there are funds you can use. This funding contributes to the collaborative nature of open access publishing APCs are waived on all submissions until June 30, 2016
