• Sequential connectives- ‘First, ‘Secondly’.

  • 3. Look at this example of an advice leaflet for you… These are the stresses that are facing you. Can you remember how being in year 7, meant you were faced with a different set of challenges? How can you use this example to develop advice for those worried about starting their journey at TNHA? Be inspired! Inspire the year 7s to succeed!
  • 4. How can year 7s succeed at TNHA? Make sure your leaflet includes the following… • Vary your sentences – Simple: “Beat exam stress.” Compound: “Try to put the last exam out of your mind and look ahead to the next one.” Complex: “Take all the equipment you need with you for the exam, including extra pens and pencils.” • Use of second person- “Pamper yourself” • Sequential connectives- ‘First, ‘Secondly’.
